P-6 - Getting One If You Have an SP404 mk2?

Actually, i was looking for a mk2 and then stumbled upon an available/in stock P-6 here in France, so i went frenzy mode and jumped on it. And glad i did, this thing is wow

Man I got caught up on a side mission trying to midi mpc live 2 with p-6. Have an issue with triggering samples from p-6 keyboard mode . I have ACH set to 15

Hello NearTao, This is Vicente Rubino, now with a new channel and new name, dedicated to Roland samplers. A few days ago, I received my small P6, and I'm encountering some challenges. Among them, I occasionally like to sample acoustic instruments, such as the guitar. With the SP404Mk2 and its loop mode, it's great for making these recordings. However, now with the P6, lacking the loop feature, I'm missing the ability to sample my guitar with at least a metronome as a base in my headphones, played by the P6. I’ve noticed that the Count In metronome settings only apply to pattern recordings, not to samplers... Am I missing something?

I just bought one and I am really impressed by this thing. Iwas really looking for something like this when i bought sp404 mk2, What I really can't understand is why this little cheap fella has way more proffesional, up to date fetaures than sp404? Why on earth Roland has implemented such features to a toy like P-6 and they not giving these features to sp404. They are completely stupid and incompetent engineers. Just to name a few of what sp404 should have had. 1)64 Slices on pads 2)Per sample filters 3)Reverb-delay send fx 4)Probability (elektron like) features on the sequencer 5) Automation(motion recording) of sample parameters. 6)Full blown granular synth!!!!! The guys in Roland are complete morons.....

ya just 3 knobs on sp sucks wish they at least added the fouth and moved the volume knob and made them all encoders... hopefully the next udate will give the sp all the p6 things they left out

I doubt we'd see the SP404 mk2 learn to do *everything* the P-6 can do, but definitely worth asking :D
