Premnazir and Yesudas , two diamonds of the Malayalam film industry, who provided the industry a great beginning when the industry was struggling to take off, and with the arrival of Premnazir, there came a flurry of films with many directors and producers coming in to the scene and Premnazir turning out to be a hero and Nazir era began from here onwards and he along with singer of the century Yesudas, conquered the hearts of film goers with Premnazir appearing on the silver screen with an Yesudas song and Nazir singing the song with perfection, and Malayalam film industry started accumulating hit songs one after another, a trend which continued for quite some time. The Premnazir and Yesudas factor played a vital role for the upliftment of the industry that paved the way for the entry of many actors ans singers in to the Malayalam Film industry. The growth of the industry was fast solely because of the presence of Premnazir and Yesudas in it. What would have been the fate of Malayalam cinema without the presence of these two giants? What we witness now are mere reflections of the contributions made by these two great luminaries-- Premnazir and Yesudas.
