P&O Arvia Caribbean Cruise ...Martinique episode 8

We arrived in Martinique to find what looked very much like a Mediterranean port.Quite a lot more built up than any of the other islands that we had visited . Also due to the fact that there was going to be ferry strike , and that we had no excursions booked we decided we would not be venturing very far .
After breakfast we did a few laps of the Promenade deck , where we got a glimpse of a small beach . So that is where we were going to head .
As we disembarked the ship we were given a lovely welcome by the local young people which was very nice . We took a leisurely stroll along to the beach where we spent a few hours relaxing and swimming .
We then did a bit of sightseeing around the town before finding a bar and chilling while listening to the locals performing some sort of Karaoke .
After returning to the ship we had bit of lunch then headed to the Sky Dome to make use of the pool . That evening we had dinner in the Beach House restaurant . We did not enjoy it as much as the one on Ventura . Then on to the Headliners theatre to see the vocal group ODYC they were very good .
That ended our visit to Martinique , not our most favourite island that we have visited on this cruise , but we still had some fun along the way

Another fabulous episode, good to see that the beach is only a short walk away if you fancy a swim in the sea without having to pay for taxis or excursions. The town seemed quite nice to wander around, had a bit of character. Pearl wore another beautiful dress, loved the pattern and colours very pretty. Can’t wait for the next episode 🤩👏😍

Felt really safe wandering around the town as we said it seemed more of a Mediterranean port than Caribbean. Pearl did look great in her dress , one of my favourites. You all didn't seem to enjoy this as much, and I noticed you didn't care for your dinner. Pearl's pie looked awful! I'm looking forward to next week. It looks exciting! The perils of Pearl, and her adventure with the bathrooms. Makes me wonder if we are related! We have gotten very warm again. I am trying not have to put in my AC. Mine go in the window, and they stay till it gets cold again. I live in a very old house. Still fighting allergies, but that's how it goes. Hope you all are well. Till next week.

Hi Rene , yes it wasn’t the best Caribbean island that we visited on this cruise. But we did manage to cool off in the sea .Pearls Apple pie really was awful . Next week is St Lucia and we go to the rainforest which was brilliant.I knew that Pearl and the Bathroom would end in chaos , and I was correct 😂. Isn’t the weather all over the place we have had rain every day and cold . Now they are talking about heatwaves. How nice to have AC I’m afraid it would be far too expensive to run here .I bet your house has lots of character Rene .With all the rain the Pollen hasn’t been to bad . Thanks Brian and Pearl for another superb video. Poor Pearl,just not her day,what with the toilet door fiasco and the horrible apple pie.We ate in the Beach House on Arvia and have to say it was the worst we have had.The apple pie is laced with the rum and is very stodgy, not very nice.I have had the goat curry,tastes like lamb,so tell Pearl to go for it next time😅. Can't wait till next week to see what mischief Pearl gets into.

Hi Pearl & Brian, hope you are both well. Was it just a pier at Martinique off the ship? What happens if there is a coach trip as we didn’t seem to see any transport along there? Hi Al , we are all well thank you apart from this terrible weather . Hope you are doing ok . So we noticed everyone who had excursions were all meeting at the end of the pier . then they were escorted to a big car park where all the coaches were waiting . Yes beware of the toilet , you need someone on sentry duty outside 😂😂 . But if anyone was going to have a mishap then it was always going to be Pearl😩 .Only another couple to get through Al 😂 . Thank you for persevering through this series , especially with the poor sound quality , we had a microphone issue but didn't know until we got home .
