P&O Arvia Caribbean cruise #7 .. St Kitts

So after a leisurely Sea day and the second of the formal evenings we arrived in St Kitts. We woke to a very heavy rain shower that we hoped would pass quickly as I had booked the Altitude skywalk on the top deck .
Also we were berthed next to P&O Aurora which I believe was on a very long cruise . Thankfully after breakfast the rain stopped and the sun came out , so I headed up to get ready for the Altitude skywalk. After some instructions on how to use the safety harness I proceeded to have a fantastic time . High above the ship with fantastic views and even better I was on my own . To do the Skywalk it costs seven pounds fifty pence .
Our excursion in ST Kitts was the Scenic Railway tour , this was delayed by 2 hours because of the earlier rain had caused the tracks to be slippery .
We had a great time , with an onboard narrator to describe what we were seeing and the Rum punches flowing .
After the excursion we returned to the port to enjoy some of the local bars and then boarded the ship . We were in time to see Aurora leaving the port .It was a great visit to ST Kitts .

Looked great! Brian, you are braver then I am. I do not like heights. You did a great job. Enjoyed your train trip. I like trains. The food looked good! Can you tell I like to eat!? Pearl looked great, and I remember being able to wear heels. Those days are gone. The weather turned cold again. We had frost, and by the end of the week it will be hot again. Good evening Rene , it’s 7.15 pm here in the UK . I loved doing the Sky walk although it was a bit trickier than I thought it would be . We did enjoy the train , especially the rum cocktails. We must take after you then because we like nice food . I can remember when we married 48 years ago Pearl used to wear really big heals . I don’t think the weather knows what to do . You had frost then it’s going back to heat , crazy. Do you suffer with Hay fever Rene , horrible isn’t it I’m not as bad as whim I was a youngster . Another excellent episode ❤ This is the one where Brian’s SAS training came in handy for the ropes course (it was more wobbly than it looks from below), and Pearl’s Strictly Come Dancing training helped at the port music bar. Last time I was at that bar loads of people nearly missed the ship as they had been on the cocktails all day and had lost all sense of time 😂 Nothing like 2 British Ships Sailaway for a chorus of Oggy Oggy Oggy. Loved Pearl’s blue dress, looks amazing 🤩

Another review, lol 😊. I thoroughly enjoyed St kitts. First, very impressive, Brian, on the course on the ship well done 👏. And may I say I totally agree with you both about people not dressing appropriately on ships 😀. My husband and I love dressing up and looking smart when on a ship, and that includes when relaxing and especially when you go in to eat . You should cover up ,I know your on holiday but please think of others . You both look so chic and elegant but you always have fun ,love how Pearl gets involved and isn't afraid to dress on her own and have fun brilliant 😅. The train looked really good see alot of the island but was expensive. Keep up the good work ❤

We really don’t understand people, even though it’s only a buffet you should always dress accordingly. You don’t go dressed in just your swimwear. Thank you we do try and look smart of an evening, and Pearl loves to dress up and get on that dance floor. She really is a bundle of fun. Again the train was a lot of fun , especially with the rum flowing . Pearls face was a picture when she realised how much it cost 😂 . Split in Croatia looks very walkable from what we’ve watched on KZbin. Kotor looks beautiful and again we have just seen vlogs where they walk around the town , stop for some lunch and drinks . Then Corfu we haven’t really thought about it yet . Really looking forward to this cruise though, hopefully it will be nice and warm .👋👋

Could you tell me if you were asked to show your insurance documents ?? or just asked which company you have it with ? Hi Amanda , first of all thank you very much for watching those Canary Island vlogs .It’s a great cruise and I’m sure you will love it. Regarding the insurance we have never been asked to produce evidence of insurance on any of the cruises we have been on . When you fill in your details online in the section before you sail , you will be asked to enter your insurance details. We still take a printed copy of our insurance with us . Like you ours is on my phone, but I think what if I can’t get a signal or I lose the phone so we just print off the most important parts of the document. Hi Percy , we only took £350 pounds worth of US dollars as we had excursions booked for most places . We had nothing planned for Martinique but they use the Euro as it comes under France and we still had some left from previous holidays. We took dollars in as small denominations as possible because we really only used them at bars , tips , taxis. In Barbados on our last day we went to the beach and the restaurant accepted Apple Pay so I used that . Hope this is of some help, have a great cruise and thank you very much for watching our vlogs .
