Putt is a traditional kerala breakfast recipe made using rice flour and coconut. puttu is so easy to prepare that it will be ready within 10 minutes. Plain rice putt recipe will contain only rice flour, grated coconut and salt. However you will be able to find many variations of puttu in kerala. Different type of puttu will be in terms of it's shape. Normal puttu or Kutti puttu which has a cylindrical shape is the most common one. the next is chiratta puttu, as shown in this video. Traditionally, Chiratta putt is prepared using an empty coconut shell. This video shows how to prepare chiratta putt in a empty coconut shell.
