The editing turned out really slick. Now I'm not sure if we should just tell Kaiba about modern Blue Eyes support or try to get him to switch over to a modern dragon-based deck like Dragon Link or Bystial or Branded. But for now... Kaiba: You know how your XYZ-Dragon Cannon is so good because you can summon it by just sending its materials from your field without using Polymerization? Well, they decided that was such a good idea that they created a ton of cards that work like that, and then they decided to make them blue and call them Link monsters so they wouldn't have to write that you don't have to use Polymerization to make them on every single one of them. But I guess they decided they would be too good if they just worked like that, so they also gave them arrows and said that you can only summon them to the extra monster zone or a zone an arrow points at. So there you go, Link monsters are easy. Don't ask about Pendulums though. Those are a mystery to everyone. And you know how in real life everyone, especially Yugi, always draws the card they need at exactly the right time? Well, in order to make this game "more fair," they try to stop that from happening. But you can get around this by playing more copies of the cards you really want to draw. That's why you kept drawing Blue Eyes so much, but didn't see your other cards as often.

Yeah, I'm really down to have Kaiba do anything, and try out various decks. Glad to see the editing is receiving good reception. (Also bonus points for referring to Kaiba's reality as "real life") Kaiba: "Huh. That definitely makes these Link monsters make more sense, although the concept still seems ridiculous." "The fact that Pendulums are a mystery to everyone truly shows that they are just a mistake. What a ridiculous concept!" "So you're saying that if I want to get my combos off more, I have to sacrifice others? That seems like it might decrease the options my deck has, but it might be for the best if I can pull off my better plays more often. I suppose Ancient Lamp and La Jinn seem a little outdated, even if they have been occasionally helpful, but we'll see how things look in the future. I didn't realize that they made a mechanism that decreased the luck of more skilled players such as myself to "balance things out," but I suppose the Wheelers of this world need a chance to win every now and then as well, as infuriating as that is for my purposes."

TheLetterJ0 : It is also possible to tell kaiba about modern blue-eyes Support and let him try it. Should he get stuck, we can tell, that he can conbine his deck with other strategy (for example branded) to make it stronger. Should Kaiba like the new cards, then we can tell him what He can do, to make it stronger.

@@Nep_Fan_melody9898 something to consider as well... Do you want Kaiba to get stronger faster? Or do you want a slower progression? Also, as much of a genius as he is, he might not fully understand (or want to understand) Branded and such upon first glance, or he may see it as too far removed from what he'd want to play at the moment-- it might take some coaxing/convincing to get Kaiba into a deck/strategy that's unrelated to his own

To Kaiba: it give another ritual spell called Advanced Ritual Art. It allows you to ritual summon 1 ritual monster by sending normal monster from your deck to the grave. Blue-eyes chaos maxx dragon is level 8, so you can send for example one of your blue-eyes white dragon from deck to summon blue-eyes chaos maxx dragon and revive your blue-eyes white dragon later with monster reborn. How does that sound to you?

'ey Kaiba, something that can help you with getting a better grasp of newer mechanics is going over the Solo mode duels, helped me determine that i prefer to specialize in fusion and ritual decks. through them i developed a... general understanding of those newer mechanics like Pendulum, XYZ, Synchro, and Links (although link-ladder climbing is still something that makes my head spin.) Pendulums - monster that act as spells, the numbers and arrows indicate a level range, say you set a pendulum monster with a 1 and another with a 7, the level range is level 2 to level 6, and you can special summon most monsters in your hand that fall within that range, if a pendulum summoned pendulum monster is destroyed it goes to the extra deck and can be pendulum summoned back out next turn. (formerly the fusion deck). XYZ - a type of extra deck special summon that requires usually atleast 2 monsters at the same level, you attach those monsters used to summon it as 'material' and can detatch the material cards sending them to the grave to activate effects on the XYZ monster. (these monsters have black boarders.) Synchro - kinda like tribute summoning, but classifies as a special summon and requires monsters to be tributed that add up to the target monster's level, one of the tribute targets must also be classified as a 'tuner' in order for this to happen. Link - i barely understand this but it's basically a form of chain-tribute special summoning, the number of red arrows on the card denote the 'link level' and each monster zone an arrow points to on your side is another spot you can special summon a link monster to, with some link monsters having unique effects if they are pointing a red arrow at a link monster that is pointing a red arrow right back (term is co-linked). a link ladder is a chain of summons, special summons, and effects that allow you to build to higher and higher link levels, usually being more and more powerful monsters. also note that whiile pendulum monsters are in the normal deck, XYZ, Synchro, and link monsters are all in the extra(fusion) deck.

Kaiba: "You're telling me that this solo mode actually has *value*? I was led to believe that it only contained the 'lore' for different decks that gets referenced in the proficiency tests. Why would they put something as useful as learning the new mechanics of the game behind such a lame segment? Oh well. I'll look into these other advanced summoning methods, as ridiculous as they seem."

To kaiba : I recommend running destined rivals if you have blue eyes on the field you can negate all their monsters effects. I also recommend White Stone of legend it let you add a blue eyes to your hand if it hit the graveyard and maiden with eyes of blue if it targeted for a attack or affect let you summon a blue eyes from your hand deck or graveyard

To kaiba: So i haven't played master duel in a long time admittedly - and i am too impaitent for it to download - but two things. First off, what do you think about inferno tempest? Second, and admittedly i am saying this before watching this episode and seeing the master duel banlist, but have you ever considered running eradicator epidemic virus? It says: "Tribute 1 DARK monster with 2500 or more ATK, and declare 1 type of card (Spell or Trap); look at your opponent's hand, all Spells/Traps they control, and all cards they draw until the end of their 3rd turn after this card's activation, and destroy all cards of that declared type." Sure it can be a bit costly, but against the right decks, it can be literally game winning.

Kaiba: "I don't play inferno tempest because I'm not going to willingly let my opponent hit me for 3000 points of damage. As for Eradicator Epidemic Virus, it is a good virus, but most of the powerful monsters in my deck are LIGHT attribute! If I were to play it, I'd have to try to run it in a more DARK focused deck. It has no place in my deck the way it is right now!"

@@whambamduel To Kaiba: Also, i forgot to ask, but would you consider running red eyes darkness metal dragon? Sure it IS a red eyes card. But it is also one of the best dragom support cards of all time, to the point of even hitting the ban list, getting an errata, and dragon decks still using it. Plus, it works with any and all dragon decks, not just red-eyes. At the very least, i would suggest at least reading its effect when you have the chance.
