@AtticAZ6 жыл бұрын
Daily 3.7 truthfully... Procharger told me the P1-SC1 is already more than enough for the 3.7 and the P-1X won’t do much for the V6. Their exact words: “The P-1X would add about 10-15 HP over the P-1SC-1 on a V8 engine, but doesn't offer an improvement over the P-1SC-1 on a V6 engine. For this reason, we only offer it as an upgrade on V8 engines (Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, etc.) and don't on V6 engines (Mustang, Jeep Wrangler, etc.). “ I’m sure it DOES have some benefits, besides looking more impressive under the hood. But that’s just what they told me.

I have a 2017 with some mods and a P-1SC-1 procharger setup. I dynoed 427 then added the shorty headers and cat deletes. tuner tells me I should dyno around 460 or so. On an 8 psi setup. But, 5th gear dyno roll on it only gets to 7.2... So my setup is doing alright. I'm about to got to 12psi pulley, along with many other parasitic loss assisters. Haha. I love my V6.
@AtticAZ4 жыл бұрын
I just emailed Procharger to ask what pulley I should go with for the P1X as I don’t know what size pulley comes on it stock. They told me, “Thanks for your interest in a ProCharger Supercharger for your 2017 Mustang V6. In regards to the supercharger and pulley sizes, the P-1X is not an available upgrade on this car, as it does not physically fit. The P-1SC-1 would be your option for a stock engine, or the D-1SC for a modified engine. The pulley sizes would depend on what modifications have been made to your engine and exhaust and how much boost or power you're wanting to make.”

Thats weird, you can see in the video its a P1X on this car.. ill ask the owner why they might have said that
@AtticAZ4 жыл бұрын
3SevenStangVids I actually spoke to Mike. He had to modify a bit to get it to fit. Then I spoke to a Procharger rep. He said if would probably be more challenging to fit in the S550 and that the D-1SC1 would be the best choice with my mods. 👌🏼

Sick video. I'm torn myself as I have the funds to either trade my 12 3.7 in and put the 10gs I got saved up to find a lower mileage 13-14 coyote put my budget about $15000-$17500 cash deal. Or buy the D-1SC tuner kit, boss 19 wheels and tires, and do 2015-17 mustang gt caliper 4 piston swap with 2008-2012 gt500 slotted rotors. I've owned 68 Mercury cougar xr8 428 ( father's old car) 1992 mustang gt 5 speed, 1994 3.8 mustang 5 speed, 1998 mustang gt convertible, 2005 mustang gt auto, 2012 mustang 3.7. I'm 40 and wrag the sh*t out of my cars. The fastest and most dependable is 2012 mustang 3.7. Im a mechanic I can tell you 200,000 plus miles with young college kids no problem. The highest I seen was a older woman who was a travelling nurse, 340,00 miles on it's 6 set of brake pads lol

That Blue and White V6 Stang Ontario isn't all that high up in Toronto area where I got it done. Only 90 meters or 300 feet. It was a pretty hot day 80.5 F and almost 50% humidity.

the HP numbers look completely normal for a procharged 3.7, maby even a bit low?
@theboostedsixxes43756 жыл бұрын
thelasthallow absolutely not. Most are 400-430 whp using 93 Octane and more timing than me. I easily made 460whp with only 17 degrees of timing and 91 octane. There's a lot more power to be made by just bumping up the timing. I can go even further with higher octane but I don't have 94 where I live. I can add a few degrees of timing and be at 500whp. We left it at 460whp to keep longevity of the motor because it's my summer daily.
@thelasthallow6 жыл бұрын
Mike Landry hmm so a pretty decent bump on 91 then. I was looking at procharging my 3.7 but i want to see what the numbers are on that gt500 supercharger thats coming soonish
@theboostedsixxes43756 жыл бұрын
thelasthallow don't hold on too long. They're still working on it and as far as I know it was at a standstill because they can't tune it because of pre detonation above 4000rpm.with the extra heat made by the blower. He has to make an intercooler setup and probably meth combo to make it work.
@thelasthallow6 жыл бұрын
Mike Landry well crap that sucks.

Do they sell this kit for the s550?
@theboostedsixxes43756 жыл бұрын
Joel Adame it's just an upgraded head unit. The kit doesn't change except for the compressor unit itself. You have to ask the supplier to add the P1X in the kit.

intagram snyder.ryan.c Have not done dyno. Tuning was done remote via data logging by MPT in florida I live in North carolina. If youre getting 460whp on 9lbs im pretty curious to what I'm making. Also if you get the chance switch to a gates rpm belt, it kept my boost #s more consistent after break in. Thanks for sharing your findings Mike. Cheers!
@theboostedsixxes43756 жыл бұрын
ryan snyder awesome! We've been looking for another P1X Procharger in the cyclone pages, youtube and Internet forums. No one came forward so ir was inknown. But I am the first dyno documented and video recorded. My power was made really easy so I'd like to see what others could make. MPT is an awesome tuner. That's who I was with when I was NA. Make some videos and also join the cyclone mustang pages on facebook.

Mike Landry I'll check it out Mike. Been calling around to some dynos near me but none have returned calls. Might have to branch out a bit farther, but definitely on my to do list. So I’m planning to procharger my 2017 3.7 but I’m worried about the driveshaft. Is it safe to increase the speed limiter on s550 V6’s beyond 125? With a procharger I would definitely go above that on the track so no point to procharger if the driveshaft will snap or I’ll just be hitting my speed cap.

@theboostedsixxes43756 жыл бұрын
Bitemehard Hard I like how everyone thinks that. Cheapest GT at the time was $5000 more than what I payed. Had 45,000miles and was a base GT. Mine is a Premium and only had 10,000 miles. My car doesn't even have 45,000 miles on it now 5 years later. Plus I'd like to see a GT keep pace with me around a course, you know, being nose heavy and all.
