P2285: Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Low | 2003 Ford Excursion 6.0 (early model)

This is what is sounds like when CEL code "P2285: Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Low" shows up. I replaced the ICP and it's fine again. You should also replace the pigtail w/connector as well while you're at it.

I replaced ipr,icp,and icp harness and it still does this.any suggestions?

My 2005 F-250 6.0, went into limp mode and it has two codes 1 for the ICP sensor and the other for MAP sensor. I replaced both of those sensors and still in limp mode. Any advice?

@@GovG33k question when replace a part does it require to reset or it will reset on its own?

@@genarogarcia6719 I'm not sure. I've always cleared it myself with the Torque app. But most CEL conditions should self-clear once a threshold of success is met. For instance, it could take a few on/off engine cycles to clear it. But I'm not positive. Sorry.

hasanen jamal Hello, the issue I had is in the description. I had to replace the ICP sensor, which it a huge pain on the ‘03.

If you removed the connector at this time would it have ran correctly? I'm chasing down the exact same issue put new icp in (no pig tail) and still acting like this and throwing code. Pulled the censor same thing

Nope. You probably need a new pigtail as well. Take the foil off and I bet it's drenched in oil.

I love the 6.0 so much that I bought another '04 F250 and Bulletproof'd it. Runs like a dream and still hauls.

geemane G nope. I was hitched up to my RV ready to depart and it began doing this. Regardless, it can happen anywhere.

GovG33k I'm just wondering because I'm having a similar problem except it idles rough like yours but lunges at a stoplight every once in a while

geemane G I feel sorry for you. It's a PITA to change the ICP sensor. It took me hours and I'm very mechanically inclined. The 2nd time won't take me as long, but it's still a pain to swap out. Good luck!

I've been tracking a wire short to my 6.0 for the past few days. Do you have an ODBII reader??? Check icp voltage. The wiring harness can chafe at the oil filter housing, under the air line to the turbo, at the battery by the pcm on the drivers side, engine hoist mount on the front drivers side... you can move the harness while running to see if it shorts out and kills the engine. I'm still finding bare wires.... my truck also throws p2285 and p0266.

I didn't know how to fix it when I recorded the video in the first place. You could at least find several other videos that show you how to fix it like I did.
