How to adjust 2014 santa fe 2.0L turbo. Turbo lag.
Tools needed. Voltmeter set at DCV 20
10mm for bar nuts and connecting shaft to electric controller.
Adjustment is twist in. If reading higher than 4.1v. Specification is 4.0 +- 0.1V
Engine should be cold. And just turn to on. Not running. I started it after setting to 4.0v and blip throttle to recheck by pulling rod to see if still good reading.

That e clip on other side is easy to take off with flat head screw driver. I found both of those nuts were rusty and adjusting in the engine was impossoble so I had to take bar out from both ends. Yes the end with the nut comes off easy but keep your hand there when you take bar off as their is a spring and washer behind the bar. That other end is an E clip and yes you will likely drop it. Therefore before you do anything #1. DEFENETLY get EXTRA e clips multi set at any auto store for 70 cents each variety pack is like $5. #2 get magnetic wand to try to get clip if you drop it. #3 get good rust penetrating oil lubricants to turn nuts once you get the whole bar off.

@@erickherrera8225 wouldn't say fixed but I put my coupe in training wheels meaning I'm not pulling 15psi of boost since I have a heavy foot wont have to worry about blowing the turbo again 😅

@@whoyouscrub4023 I’m having issues with my 3.8 I know it’s a different engine but it seems like the same issues when I’m driving in the city under 3.5k rpms it drives normal as sinned I press the gas pedal above 3500 rpms the car slowly keeps up but the rpms goes up till the red line if I keep going it started doing this after I cleaned the mass air flow sensor but the weird thing is that I’m not getting a check engine light

@@erickherrera8225 same and I did a smoke test for a boost leak no leak somethings not right but I don't wanna go to the dealer to get bent over with no vaseline they tax toooo much but they know the car inside and out 🤷‍♂️

Hello. Essentially this can be used to adjust the boost even without having and issue correct? Or will it cause and issue of over boosting,or getting boost cut possibly damaging the engine? I adjust my ‘13 Santa Fe to 3.96 and I’m getting a little more response and holding more boost at higher rpm. I never had any code or problem. I just heard that it would give it a little kick in the pants. I’m thinking of switching it back because I’m afraid of causing some damage or blowing it up.

This controls the waste gate, so essentially when it’s supposed to be wide open you modified it to be slightly closed when it’s supposed to be full open. It doesn’t hurt the engine and allows for quicker response when going back on throttle. NOW if done wrong then it would actually be closed when the turbo needs to release the pressure and can blow the seals. Recommended to tune car after the fact.

This is external but can you do this with an internal twin turbo on a infini Q50. I have a p255 3 code can you please help! I need advice I was told I might need a new assembly kit but I came across your video and knew you were the man to ask! Thank you for posting this informative video!

​@@Gstar357 as a previous hyundai tech, start with this. Its a tedious calibration to the waste gate actuator but it saves you about 300+$. Basically the actuator faults and the turbo does not build boost so it feels like the car doesnt have any power.

What happened when you have both P2562 and P2565. My actuator was not connected after I had gotten the engine replaced. I took it to many mechanics and they just cleared the code. But no power at all.

I just made all this steps but my reading is at 4.7v. Does it have to be exactly 4.0v? Seems like the Turbo it's not working because the car it's still slow. Any other advise??

use a magnet on a stick whe remouving the turbo arm clip to not loose it
