So the buyback guarantee isn’t really that safe at all? Could you elaborate on that? Thanks legend
@P2PEmpire3 жыл бұрын
It is as safe as the financial performance of the lender. If the loan book quality is bad the buyback is worthless. If the loans were issued by an experienced and established lender who is operating a profitable business (or is part of a profitable group), the buyback can be very reliable. Generally speaking, investors should be cautious about investing in smaller lenders in emerging markets. It's recommended to always research the lenders and not invest blindly into anything as the risk and reward ratio might vary significantly.

🙀 What's been your biggest mistake in P2P lending and what have you learned from it?

investing with Grupeer..learnt not to believe the hype, look in detail at the details and never invest based on the high of a high interest rate.

I verified now my Peerberry account,many thanks for the video,I have a bigger exposure on russian loans than on polish ones,I will rebalance today with different automatic investments,thank you. Keeping only Delfin loans in Mintos(500-750 euros) is a good idea? it seems a good loan originator,no problems until now,what do you say?
@P2PEmpire4 жыл бұрын
That's a very individual question. I don't have any active investments on Mintos atm. Judging from the frequency of reports and low % of late loans in Mintos' statistics, DelfinGroup seems to be one of the better LOs.

@@goul82 This concerns the diversification across multiple countries. You don't want to have all your money invested in one lending company or one country. If done correctly, diversification decreases the risk of your investments.

@@goul82 No, you can set up individual auto invest portfolios to control the exposure in countries or lending companies.

Also, Mintos and Viainvest have a brokers license now, do you consider them safer than the rest now? (Although there was something that interest rates fell, and the risk of P2P lending wasn’t really worth the upside I’ve heard?+ when there is a crisis, you have most likely lost your money?) thanks for the useful info, I will watch your video’s to see if P2P lending is something I will invest in.
@P2PEmpire3 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/pX2pd6SQfrytn7s here is an explanation of the broker license. Viainvest is a small platform from the VIA SMS Group and while there is occasional cash drag, they managed to fulfill obligations towards investors so far (even during a crisis). Investors on Mintos have to deal with pending payments and funds in recovery. This either decreases the return or the liquidity. Investors on Mintos need to be very picky to make positive returns.
