There’s no such thing as an evil gun. Guns are inanimate objects. There are only evil people. Just because this is a German design doesn’t mean it came directly for the Nazi regime either. This gun design was licensed and built in countries all over Europe and the world. Portugal used these guns all the way up until 2019. Then they replaced all the guns with Glock 17’s. It’s a good gun design.

beautifull pistols, the slide of your p1 have also the reinforcment mark on it, and a 2 part barrel, the slides of the p38 was thinner where it goes over the barrel at the front end. the only thing i dont like is that they spit the fired catridges into the face when shooting^^ cause of the left ejection but definetly a fun gun to shoot

It's a post WW2 P1 variant, so definitely NOT a Nazi pistol, but produced for the German Bundeswehr. Not exactly antique, too. The slide should be checked for cracks at the thinnest area, where the locking bolt engages. Some P1s got a bad reputation for breakages, when they were used extensively. Surplus P1s were sold for around 100 to 200 € a while ago, when the BW bought the more modern P8, a HK USP variant.

Fantastic gun with a lot of history!. Not sure if they are still being made, but were still being made up to the beginning of this century, I think there are still police forces still using them.
