पंढरपूर म्हणजे महाराष्ट्राचे हृदयाचे स्थान. विठ्ठलाच्या दर्शनासाठी दरवर्षी लाखो वारकरी पायी चालत पंढरपूरला जातात. देहू, आळंदी, पैठण, सासवड, मुक्ताईनगर, शेगाव अशा ठिकाणावरून मानाच्या 11 दिंड्या पंढरपूरकडे पायी निघतात. या दिंडींमध्ये हजारो वारकरी सहभागी होतात. दरवर्षी पंढरपूरला नोंदणी असलेल्या जवळपास 500 पेक्षा जास्त दिंड्या असतात. याशिवाय छोट्या-मोठ्या गावातून, शहरातून कुठेही नोंद नसलेल्या हजारो दिंड्यासुद्धा पायी चालत पंढरपूरला जातात. जवळपास एक महिना पायी चालत जाणाऱ्या वारकऱ्यांच्या जेवणाची सोय कशी केली जाते, याबाबतची सविस्तर माहिती आपण या व्हिडिओमध्ये घेणार आहोत. प्रत्येक दिंडीमध्ये नोंद केलेल्या वारकऱ्यांसाठी दररोज दोन वेळा स्वयंपाक बनवला जातो. यासाठी दिंडीचे प्रमुख नियोजन करतात. या दिंडीमध्ये मालवाहू ट्रक, पाण्याचे टँकर असतात. स्वयंपाकासाठी लागणारे सर्व साहित्य या ट्रकमध्ये असते. दिंडीचा मुक्काम जिथे पडणार आहे, त्या ठिकाणी हे सर्व ट्रक आधी पोहोचतात. तिथे तंबू उभारून वारकऱ्यांच्या निवासाची व्यवस्था केली जाते तसेच त्या ठिकाणी तत्काळ एक स्वयंपाकगृह उभारून स्वयंपाकाची तयारी केली जाते. त्यानंतर सकाळी आणि संध्याकाळी वारकऱ्यांसाठी स्वयंपाक बनवला जातो. हा मेनू अतिशय रुचकर असतो. दरवर्षी ज्या ठिकाणी जो स्वयंपाक बनवायला जातो, त्याच ठिकाणी तो स्वयंपाक बनवला जातो. उदाहरणार्थ एखाद्या गावात मागच्या वर्षी पुरणपोळी किंवा इतर पदार्थ असतील तर यावर्षी सुद्धा त्या ठिकाणी तेच पदार्थ बनवले जातात. एखाद्या गावात मागच्या वर्षी बेसन पोळी असेल तर या वर्षीसुद्धा त्या ठिकाणी तोच पदार्थ बनवला जातो. लाखो वारकरी सहभागी होऊनही या दिंडीमध्ये कोणीही उपाशी राहत नाही. कुठल्याही दिंडीमध्ये जाऊन बाहेरच्या कुठल्याही व्यक्तीला जेवण करता येते, हेच या दिंडीचे प्रमुख वैशिष्ट्य आहे.

Pandharpur is the heart of Maharashtra. Lakhs of pilgrims walk to Pandharpur every year to see Vitthala. From places like Dehu, Alandi, Paithan, Saswad, Muktainagar, Shegaon, 11 Dindyas of Mana leave for Pandharpur on foot. Thousands of Varkaris participate in these Dindis. Pandharpur has more than 500 Dindis registered every year. Apart from this, thousands of unregistered Dindas from small and large villages and cities also go to Pandharpur on foot. Cooking is done twice daily for the warkars recorded in each Dindi. Dindi heads plan for this. In this Dindi there are cargo trucks, water tankers. All the ingredients required for cooking are in this truck. All these trucks reach the place where Dindi is going to stay first.
Tents are erected there and arrangements are made for the accommodation of the pilgrims and a kitchen is immediately set up at that place and preparations are made for cooking. After that, cooking is done for the morning and evening meals. This menu is very tasty. Every year, wherever one cooks, one cooks. For example, if a village had Puranpoli or other dishes last year, the same dishes are prepared in that place this year as well. If a village had gram flour last year, the same dish is made this year too. Despite the participation of lakhs of warkaris, no one goes hungry in this Dindi. The main feature of this Dindi is that any outsider can go and eat in any Dindi.
