പശുക്കളോട് യാതൊരു വിധ സ്നേഹവും ഇല്ലാതെ ലാഭം മാത്രം ചിന്തിക്കുന്ന ആളായി തോന്നി. പശുവിന്റെ കൊമ്പ് ചൂടാക്കി ഇളക്കുന്നത് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ക്രൂരതയാണ്. പശുവിനെ വാങ്ങാൻ വരുന്നവർക്ക് അതിന്റെ പ്രായം മനസ്സിലാകാത്തിരിക്കാനാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ കൊമ്പ് ഇളക്കി കളയുന്നത്.പശുക്കളെ വളരെ കഞ്ചസ്റ്റെഡായി കുത്തി നിറച്ചാണ് വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. പശുക്കുട്ടികളും അതുപോലെ തന്നെ. ഓടിച്ചാടി വളരേണ്ട പ്രായത്തിൽ ചെറിയ കൂട്ടിലിട്ട് അമ്മ പശുവിന്റെ സ്നേഹവും സാമീപ്യവും നൽകാതെ നേരിട്ട് പാല് കുടിക്കാൻ സമ്മതിക്കാതെ കുപ്പിപ്പാൽ കൊടുത്ത് വളർത്തുന്നു. അതും ജനിച്ച് രണ്ട് മാസം മാത്രമാണ് പാല് കൊടുക്കുന്നത്. ആരെയും ദ്രോഹിക്കാത്ത, ജീവിതകാലം മുഴുവൻ അതിന്റെ പാല് നമുക്ക് തന്ന് നമ്മെ സേവിക്കുന്ന ജീവിയാണ് പശു. അതിനെ ഇതുപോലെ ദ്രോഹിക്കുന്നത് മനുഷ്യത്വമില്ലായ്മയാണ്.
