During the late 70's, I remember many TV news channels talking about Escobar. Now, later in life, many people like myself realize just how horrible of a person he was. Even though the town is profitting off his images, I say good for them! Let them have a little fun & enjoyment off his images/likeness/history. If it keeps feeding the town, let them do that. But don't look at the people the way you would Escobar. Mos tof the population hated him just as much. But as the documentary said, many were forced to like him or they would die. The town is full of people just trying to survive now, albeit off his history.

I've always believed that Pablo's failure to legitimize himself as a member of the government was the turning point of his life. There is a high chance that he would've transitioned into politics and focused 100% into helping the people of Colombia and left behind the drug trafficking completely.
