I remember an experiment that’s relevant to this. A ceramics class was split into two - one group judged on quantity, the other on the perfect piece. The quantity group, constantly crafting, unexpectedly produced the best work, while the perfectionists were left with little more than grand ideas. The lesson: perfection is less about getting it right on the first try and more about learning from every attempt.

Love your channel! Really feel like a lot of creators will start to shift from the “upload a $50,000 video every month” to more authentic, genuine, and consistent content. I know I’m planning to do this, and channels like yours really help that shift happen!

Yes! You worded it perfectly. Kinda hard though to do it, but Jay is doing it really well.

Your thumbnails are way ahead of your reach. So is the substance and narrative arcs you build into the video. Excited for your future man

I call my self a perfectionist, but I feel like I don't deserve to call my self a perfectionist. Don't you have to be good at something first to be called a perfectionist. Idk lol, just struggling to upload the first video. Thank you for the video Jay.

I just binged a bunch of your videos Jay. Did you pay a stranger $250 last week for not uploading? I'd love to see you post more often than once a week! See you in your next video. You're one of my favourite KZbinrs right now, much more than any big channel.

Leonardo da Vinci made only 20 artworks in his career. He took 16 years making the mona lisa. He was also a serial procrastinator who couldn't focus on a task for any considerable amount of time, and constantly jumped between activities and hobbies. However, he is widely known as one of the greatest artists of all time. Don't always try to generalise things your learn from one artist as universal truths. I think your channel hasn't grown not because of a lack of quantity but instead a lack of quality.
