It has been 10 years from the first time I saw your canon variation, you are the reason for me to pick up my piano that skipped for long time. Canon no19, dream chaser, are my all time favorite, I remembered spending months of practice back then. 10 years is quite a long time for most of us, being in relationship, break up, new relationship, marriage, lose some friends, changing career, etc, Now I am 38 with one lovely daughter and wife. I don't know what's coming next but I do hope your music last forever. Big fan from far east.

I just got my first piano delivered today (an upright Kawai NV5S). Watching Kyle performing today reminded me that, like many people around the world, I took up piano lessons and now own a piano because Kyle’s performance (throughout the years) inspired me to learn the instrument. 1:27 idk why I've never thought of going to the key of F rather than just playing F major as the 4 and making my way to C major. If that makes sense lol. I learn most of my music theory by just listening to/watching you play 🤣 Edit: also the sudden switch to A major how did you make that work so well from a C major chord??

It was from the V chord, which is directly next to the vi chord, a minor. Sometimes V goes to vi, so it totally worked to go to MAJOR VI, or the 1 chord of our new key ;)

I was referring to the modulation to A. The modulation to F was a little different. The F chord in relation to A Major is the bVI chord, and in this case was used as a pivot chord. It still had the effect of a deceptive cadence (using a bVI chord directly after a V chord), but instead of following through, it just stays in F!

sudden switching to A major (2:04) from a Cmaj(a dominant V in F major) is about Chromatic Mediant!

Let’s say I didn’t like the music choice at all😭 I love using canon in d to troll mg friends more than playing it for weddings. If it’s a wedding, i’d prob use something like that bridal chorus or Mendelssohn march
