Man the plane fully upgraded is a beast, and with spotting flares you can single handedly turn the tide on a match. I have never been good with planes on this game, but yesterday got 32-1 which is unreal for a plane noob like me. When the fliegers eventually get nerfed, this plane is going to be unstoppable.

Either my camper teammates kill the enemy pilot with feligerfuast before I do or they kill me. I hate this nonsense. It's like fighting in a modern war with WWII planes. The incendiary bombs are insane. They burn for such a long time. Sometimes i die with my plane and as i respawn as infantry i still get hitpoints. Besides that they just look the coolest of all the bombs.

The explosive guns are super good on the zero. Combo it with the finned barrel, 2 542lb bombs, dropping the AT mines, it’s unstoppable. I drop the mines on American aircraft carriers to prevent like the next 3 planes from take off which clears the skies for a brief moment where in that time you can take care of existing planes or strafe infantry. Super dirty but very effective.

I think the reason that this update is so fun is because of the vehicles. It’s not anything like the German’s and the Brits. In the new maps both teams have vehicles that are to a high existent equal. The Sherman tank has it differences to the T97 but they are both medium tanks, there is not a heavy tank that can outgun and armor them, no light tank that can outmaneuver them. It is the same with the planes. Both teams have plane that are nearly identical to each other in the upgrade tree. What I’m trying to get to is that both forces are fighting with equal weapons. This makes the game feel more like you won because of your skill and not because you had a better performing tank. It also makes the game more fun in a way for me. I’d rather have one vehicle that has a complicated skill tree that can cover three different areas of combat depending on what you chose then three different tanks with small skill trees that specialize in one thing. This makes it easier because you can grind on vehicle and change it to be any tank you want. The long skill trees also make you vehicle feel a lot more personalized because you can taper it to play how your play style is. Sorry about how long this comment is I just really wanted to convey my opinion on the update

To my testing the Fliegerfaust deals more damage the closer the plane is, also using the FF right, involves leading the plane and continuing to do so while the shots go off. It is a great tool for the Assault class to finally have something against planes, but i wouldn't argue it is too strong currently. TTK in planes with the main guns is pretty high, sadly.

Tip for players: if u keep dying to the fliegerfaust your flying to low for to long Counter: fly higher up and when strafing start higher up and finish at a decent range away from the ground, I one hit so many dive bombers because they get to close

Hey Niccaman, just a headsup, The "improved control surfaces" specialization does give you a bit better turning rate yes, but you lose like a tremendous amount of speed picking it aswell, causing the plane to stall very very easily. The specialization do work a bit better on the fighter variants (Zero A6M5) but on the A6M2 its really bad in my opinion. The 4x explosive cannons are indeed crazy, I have had matches 100+ kills and like 1 death. Also great content fellow pilot ;)

@@Niccaman I'm currently running with this setup: i.imgur.com/BnJxr9B.jpg As of now I´m using the flares and the air radar for the last levels. The flares are nice for both yourself and your team since you can just fly up high and drop the flares and cover a very large area, and its almost impossible for the enemy to shoot down the flares since its so high up. Then you can proceed to dive down and strafe the infantry, now with 3D-spotting ;) Although the 3D spotting icons doesnt appear immediately, they do appear at a certain distance when you´re closing up to the ground. When they do appear it´s also good to know that this is pretty much where the fligerfaust have their range on you aswell. I have also noticed that spotting-flares that are used by teammates, the icons can be seen from further distance for some reason, where as your own spotting flares on the plane can´t be seen until you´re on lower altitude as mentioned before. And ofc the airradar is helpful in both dogfights and to see if someone is sneaking up on you.

I use my Zero A6M2 with the 4x primary MGs, engine upgrade, incendiary bombs, flares and the maneuverability upgrade... It is a beast in the sky, and quite good against infantry.

The green Zero is amazing. Level 0 to 1 is an absolute slog. 1-3 in one game. 3-5 in one game. The explosive shells are really good, combined with the two larger bombs, spotting flares the final two sectors of Iwo Jima are mad. I was doing strafes on people I spotted with flares as they scaled the mountains taking out like 6 people per go with cannons alone. At this stage as well, people are so focused on getting up the hill as its total mayhem that I've found fliegerfaust isn't being used as much. Plus, with your own flares in the air I've actually been able to single out assaults and medics to keep myself safe. Few things contributing to this performance though. First and foremost, I don't bother with dogfights and neither do enemy. Fighters right now are in a bad state in air to air and these fighters are total trash at lvl0. Most dogfights I've engaged in have ended by one of us getting OHK by a fliegerfaust as best air to air tactic is flying over infantry at less than 250m altitude 😂😂😂 Nice planes. Gorgeous too with great spec options. Pretty good addition.

It's a small thing, but it pisses me off that they have the names swapped on the corsairs. Also the fliegerfaust EITHER high dmg OR large air burst. It should be balanced to be the same as getting a critical hit on the weak spot of a tank for a direct hit and a dmg drop for air burst. I think 30-40 dmg for direct hits would be much more tolerable, not 90.

Flieger is too easy to use I dont mind a OHK but atleast make the user need to put in some effort like with a piat or panzerfaust. Also the damage for the flieger is broken, few times it knocked me from 100 to 5hp, 100 to 7hp and other times it just flat out OHK me when I was at 100 health. Nerf the damage to 60~70 on direct hits or nerf the velocity it has. Velocity nerf would make a more fair nerf imo

The Fliegerflausts are what the stingers were in BF4 I hate them and they ruined the flying. Now the basic bombs on the zero, I've had success with the tanks doing a dive bomb on the top of them. Does pretty good damage and have gotten a few tank kills with them. Coming in at an angle and hitting the sides does minimal damage.

Nicca if you fly near the water using the Zeros against the Corsairs, the Corsair have less turning ability so if you make sharp turns they will slow down and stall into the water.

Honestly it's in a good spot right now. Fliegerfausts basically can't 1 shot you ever from 100, and on the off chance it somehow does it would have killed you if it was a panzerfaust anyway. 2 people shooting rockets at you from mid range is going to hurt or kill, period. It's generally the case you are getting hit by 2 or more people when you fly over with 100% health and die. Meanwhile, with splash damage guns you can decimate infantry. People always go 50-100+ kills. You can also shoot from far away and still be effective, turning at the mid-range point. Anyone seriously complaining about the fliegerfaust is actually just not that good with planes. This is a fact: I've seen many good pilots so far have less than 10 deaths over the entire game with kills over 30 (which is actually low) so that definitely means fliegerfausts are not a big game-breaking problem some people make it out to be. On the flipside, splash guns on the plane justify the fliegerfaust existence. Get them if you hate fliegers and fly high: if you are as good as you say you are, you should at least manage a single kill or two every strafe. It should stay the way it is. Be ignorant if you want.

The A6M “Zero” had NO variants with 4x20mm cannon. From the A6M2 (the variant this game claims to have, despite its appearance being much closer to that of the A6M5) to the aforementioned-and final-variant, A6M5, all variants were equipped with only 2x wing-mounted 20mm and 2x Nose-mounted 7.7mm (.303 caliber) machine guns. And, due to its complete lack of armor, this aircraft could take very little punishment, leaving this representation of the A6M a wholly inaccurate mess.

There was no Zero with four 20mm cannons but you are dead wrong on the plane keeping the same armament through its production. For starters the type of 20mm cannons was different depending on variant. The original A6M2 had Type 99 Mark I guns with 60 rpg, the A6M3 and earliest production A6M5's switched this to Type 99 Mark II with 100 rpg, the later production A6M5ko, otsu and hei as well as the A6M7 carried Type 99 Mark IV's with 125 rpg. The auxiliary armament was kept the same with two 7,7 mm guns in all variants between the A6M2 to the A6M5 ko (although the ammount of rpg was increased by 20 rounds starting from the A6M3). The A6M5 otsu switched the right Type 97 with a 13.2 mm type 3 mg with 240 rounds. The A6M5 hei and A6M7 were equipped with and extra two type 3 mg in the wings besides the Type 99's and the left Type 97 mg was omited. Dice should probably had made the Hei configuration the heaviest armament option for the A6M, since to be fair, it doesn't fall too much behind the quad wing mounted 20's in the F4U-1C. Specially since there's still one cowling mounted HMG.
