What a gorgeous coast. I was born and raised at the Jersey shore. I went to San Diego Pacific Ocean 25 years ago. Not further North than LA. The West Coast does not disappoint!! Simply stunning. One day, I'll get up that way. Your travels really help me narrow down to the good stuff. 😊

I know it was full for you, but for others: There are tall, beautiful Coastal Redwood trees inside the Big Sur State Park. The Park is in the mountains (not the beach). There is also a river that comes out of the mountains, with big boulders to jump off and swimming areas. Camp sites right on the river. It needs to be reserved ahead of time. We used to enjoy going after school started and had the place to ourselves.

it would be a tenters paradise for sure

One can all most feel the breeze and smell the salt water in the air in the videos. Much cooler there than the Elks lodge in Sacramento where you were at is 103 today, 98 up the hill at my house in Cameron Park. Gas prices have always been very expensive along the coast highway but I have always been happy too pay the price for the beautiful views. I love the videos, keep up the good work. You and Scoobs take care and enjoy the fresh cool air.

Great drive - it has been about 25 years since I made that trip . I filled the truck for $1.97 today - hopefully that will last a while . Will be making a run to the northeast in sept - hope the leaves are nice this year. Be Safe and Enjoy !
@Ken_McIntosh8 жыл бұрын
Nice price for gas where you are. Most of California is in the 2.35 to 2.60 range but along the coast highway the price for gas has always been significantly inflated compared to normal prices. The price one pays for the beautiful views.

I find it interesting that the Atlantic & Gulf are not near as pretty as the Pacific. But I'm a mountains kind of person. I never much likes the Ocean. I would rather visit a cool mountain stream or hike a trail in the woods. To each their own...LOL Pretty scenery though..... Thanks Russ

I installed a solid run mat at the bumper of a friends SUV. It really saved what he was towing. Down here in Georgia, we have a lot of dirt roads and most people like to travel them, rather than asphalt or concrete roads. I always enjoy your videos.

The building of Hwy 1 is something to watch, think I watched on History channel or Modern Marvels. Each bridge has it's own story while being built.
