Definitely postcard material there, some of the finest coastline in America, beautiful, been30 years since I was in that area, and it’s definitely in my top 5 places to go to. Last time Was Monterey, Laguna Seca Speedway for the Superbike Races. Thanks for sharing

Thanks Russ for the tour up the California coast. For me it's nostalgic because I have cross country cycled down the coast from Canada to California several times. I am a native Californian and miss my home state a lot.

Been on this drive many times, usually from Monterey to Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo. Look close at many of the auto commercials, they use Bixby Bridge in a lot of them shot from a helicopter. This is my favorite drive in California.

Have you ever visited San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, and that area of the central coast? It is where we go as often as possible and stay a lot at our place in an RV Park in Morro Bay.

Wow - you drove right past our neighborhood and the place where I walk the dog almost daily. Not the millionaire section over on the carmel side but the poor-man's side of the bay near where you entered town off the 68. Even that area is now out of our price range. Crazy what they get for nearly nothing around here. A word of advice to those considering a visit to the bridge during peak tourist months/times - "don't". Or maybe wait for odd-hours to do it. I don't even go down there anymore. In fact, many locals avoid parts of town during tourist season all together. Things around here sure have changed in a short period of time. This last summer, local news showed traffic jams lasting up to two hours to make the short trip down to big sur. Crazy. Local government is planning to ban parking at the bridge pullout because of massive crowds. Just thought I'd pass that info along. On a side note; many who park in that pullout where you stopped to take pics, don't know that there was once a well-known local restaurant/bar on that location partially hanging out over the cliff. One can still see the footings I think. I forget the name. Been a long time since I stopped there. Cheers.
