it really is awesome all of those beautiful old homes are still in great shape! breaks my heart to see big ugly modern McPeople high rise boxes replacing what was a golden age of quality old school building craftsmanship, like your other video showed in downtown when you picked up the tons of books, tiger head cigar thingy and majolica lady from an old Venician palazzo. good stuff and great hunting! ☆☆☆

Melissa, you shouldn't feel bad. My mom she had it the same way. When we lived in Calgary, one of the road trips we took, we stopped off at this huge suspension bridge over a large river. I can't remember if it was in the area of Banff or if it was Jasper, you guys probably know which bridge I am talking about. It was fun when you ran over it, it felt like you were on the moon because it bounced. My mom crossed over to the other side but she didn't want return the same way because it was really really high up, tried to walk up and down the other side to try to find another way over the river. But sadly there was only that bridge. This trip was in the early 80's. I really miss Canada, in '96 we moved back to Denmark. Thank you for taking us with you on this trip.

If you ever go through Red Lodge, MT you have to go to the Montana Candy Emporium, lot's of signs and antiques, Google it. The owner is a friend of the family, AND there is a huge motorcycle collection, not for the public (usually has a few upstairs) but maybe if you asked nicely. The owner rescued a Lynx and had that for years, you want interesting people, there you go! Beartooth Highway is amazing to drive as well.

I used one of those coin sorters when I was in high school. I worked in the vault of the local bank, where I sorted and rolled coins from the municipal parking meters -- lots of nickels and dimes! Coins are grungy! I didn't have much of a view in the vault, but I was indoors in the air-conditioning.

Tip for smokey cars. Put grinded coffee on the floors and seats over night if posible a day and then vacuum it out. No more smokey smell. It works.

I was in the store you got the Native chief bank about 11 months before you trying to find kitchy things for my daughter's wedding. Didn't recognize the store front, but did a double take when you had the camera pointed north. I lived there for about 40 years and about ready to move back to good ole MSO. Glad the kids got to enjoy the carousel!

Its been a while you were there but actually that massive plane was the Hercules but they made fun of it with the name Spruce Goose. It made Mr Hughes furious as it was an insult to what his vision was.

The plywood used in the Spruce Goose was made in Mellen, Wi at the plywood mill there. The mill where it was made is still working making plywood. It's name has changed so often I cannot recall what it was named back then. I have several pieces of furniture built by my mother in law from scrap pieces or panels too damaged to sell. She built all her kitchen cabinets from the "waste" plywood and also made wooden fruit boxes into storage pieces (have a few or ten.) For the town the Spruce Goose is part of its proud history providing materials for the war effort during WWII.
