@@donnywilderness Luckily I got my 4 door rubicon for a steal. But I still rock my jeep for jeep things! I just did a video and ended up smashing my door on a pole. I went.. Whoops. Better get a new line and kept going. Do miss my 2 door though. Made things a lot easier in tight areas.

busy wild is no joke, they filled in the really nasty tank trap area in the later section by the rock area which is too bad ,but I watched a built jeep with 44s. sink to the middle of the doors. So it was pretty much impassable. the whole trail is filled with glass, body work, and scarred trees and not for your mall running jeeps. You have busy feet if youre winch bitch. thanks for the great video.

This is my backyard so to speak. And all my life of being up in Elbe, it is not for the timid. You can easily spend a day in there stuck between broken rigs. Or if you are driving a Jeep, becoming 1 of the broken rigs. Anymore Busy Wild is where super modified runs more than anyone else because they have torn it up to the point that no stock or semi modified body lifted rig can get through it w/out inflicting insane body damage.

What an inspiration you guys are. You guys do an awesome job at defining what it means to have a good time while wheeling. Love the mix from great sights on the roads and the intense trails. Keep it up! I live for the day that I will get the opportunity to go around the states to hit some iconic trails.

Thanx guys for such a great video. Know the area very well. I did a little painting on the building of your staging area. I have an old YJ and avoided the Busy Bee trail. I did love the Gotcha Trail. Got stuck well on the Swamp Trail, 4 winch points to get out. I am checking out your other videos. Did you run the Evans Creek Park? That trail cost me a side window. The guy that followed me, cost him an exhaust system and side mirror. Happy wheeling.

Elbe is fun I've spent many of my days up there in my Willys. I don't know if I would've taken a JK on the Busy Wild though. They are just too big for the obstacles really. I would've taken them to the log run and the huge hill climb right after the sunrise to the left over there. That would've been some great footage of the jeeps flying up that hill! We always take the race Jeeps and see how fast we can do it haha. And there's always the rock pit at the very top you could've gotten some good shots of. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed what you got to see of Elbe there is much more too it than just that for sure! That's where I really got to fall in love with Jeeps and wheelin so it's a sacred place to me for sure.

1859ddd With the exception of the deep mud pit, everyone ran the trail just fine. Sure, a few needed to winch but otherwise, most of our big long JK's made it through without any issues what so ever. Sure wish we could have spent more time playing there but, we had to set up camp.

James Lowell LOL!! Umm, in case you missed it, this event was presented by NITTO and really, with the exception of the one mud pit, most everyone made it through the trail without an issue and without having to winch once. But hey, to each their own - nobody is saying you have to like NITTO. For our purposes, we spend most of our time spending as little time in the mud as possible. Peace.

Terrible tire? what are you using them for? they build a great tire that actaully gets good mileage wear. you just have to pick the tire suited for what you'll be using it for most.tough to get for all spectrum of off roading.

2 door is the only way to go... center of gravity and ability to crawl out off sticky situations much better!... 4 doors just get stuck easier and longer wheel base... worse off road
@4WDTrek
@4WDTrek 3 жыл бұрын
I partially agree. he 4 doors do provide more stability when rock crawling and less likely to roll over than a 2 door and short wheel base. I have had both and they both have their trade offs.

We wouldn't be able to do any of this if we didn't have an awesome platform to start with. Even the Jeep engineers look at what they make as being a blank canvas. You should look back at all the different ways the military modified the GPW to make them do what they needed including making them into boats. :)

LOL!! Guess we can't all be as smart as you. You are right about one thing though, we were all "smiling" and "laughing" as in, we were having a good time. Sorry that offends you.

Who said I was offended? I can point out dumb behaviour without being offended by it. Takes much than that to offend me bro.

LOL!! My mistake bro. Guess we all have our own way of feeling like a real man. Yours just happens to be going around on other peoples KZbin channels and pointing out how dumb they are for having a good time with friends. :)

You really THAT sensitive you can't take a negative opinion? Then perhaps you should think about deleting your chanel. It's public. It's the internet. Didn't think you'd be such a cry baby about it. Maybe you're just extremely rich...I dunno. Our guys don't do stuff like that. We have fun, do mud, climb hills...pretty much everything you do. But we don't purposely break our cars for laughs like children who haven't learned to care for their stuff. To each their own I guess.

LOL!! Sorry bro, didn't know you were so sensitive that you couldn't take a negative opinion. Didn't think you'd get so butthurt over a whole lot of nothing. This is the internet after all. Perhaps you should re-think about posting up on people's KZbin channel. I dunno, maybe some of us just like a challenge and push ourselves a bit harder even though there's a chance of breaking something instead of running the same old stuff carefully over and over again and thinking how much better we are than others. But hey, to each their own I guess.

@wayalife
@wayalife 9 жыл бұрын
idaristi Thanks. Regarding the winch, it was a Smittybilt but, you've gotta know that it's the same thing as an ENGO, Quadratec or any other China winch. They're all made by the same manufacturer and just packaged up in different boxes. If you're willing to buy a minimum order, you can get the same winch with your name on it.

Wayalife Are you sure about that? Engo is based out of Vancouver, WA. Also according to their site they have been in the business for years actually developing the winches used by the US military. Prior to starting ENGO, Drew served as a Director and Chief Operating Officer of Mile Marker winches as his father is the founder. For over 25 years he proudly served the needs of off-road and 4X4 enthusiasts meeting the demands of the off road industry with passion and professionalism. Enjoying the same entrepreneur spirt as his father, he pioneered power steering pump driven hydraulic winches, designed the winch kits for the HMMWV (Military Hummer) and has designed and developed many winch products that have forever changed the winch industry. I have personally dealt with their customer service department on something that was damaged by user error. THey were very quick to help and even went above and beyond to replace the damaged part. Even as far as to replace extra parts that were needed at no charge for piece of mind. Great company and their product has been thoroughly tested and abused by several off road magazines. Engo has even won several winch shootouts from independent unbiased magazines.

Scott Reed Why would I have any reason to make this up? Ever hear of Alibaba? Regardless, believe what you want if it helps you to sleep better at night. I was never impressed with my old Mile Marker winch too.

Why do 4 doors out number the 2 doors on this video? In Oman where we have dunes short wheel base is generally better because we get high sided when cresting a dune. In the mud and rock crawling does wheel base help?
@4WDTrek
@4WDTrek 3 жыл бұрын
Rock crawling, the longer wheel base helps when climbing up and over things. Shorter wheel base tends to roll over forwards or backwards more. However, the short wheel base does have advantages over the break over angle so they have their plusses and minuses.

Word of advice - drive carefully, and your JK's will be even more capable. Learn when to apply the accelerator to maximise traction - what I see is total noobs in very capable cars, whereas what I should be seeing is great driving in capable rigs. Check out the whole host of videos online of how to modulate throttle to maximise offroad grip - Andrew St Pierre White has a great video for you dudes to check out. You'll get waaaaaaaay further faster.

LOL - I went to your channel to see how one with so much enlightened advice handles mud like this but found a whole lot of nothing. Perhaps you should try it yourself and speak from personal experience rather than preach at others to watch some guys videos.

It's obvious you've never driven in the mud. There is no prerequisite videos to watch; it's just trial and error and every mud hole is different. But i hope your friend Andrew gives you an awesome happy meal toy for recommending his video.
