A while back I lived in Houston for two years. They are currently under a winter storm warning for a possible freakish 3-6 inches of snow. I can't say that I'm sorry to be missing out on that mess. Meanwhile here in Edmonds I have yet to see a single flurry. An odd winter so far, but I'm good with it. Thanks Michael, safe travels to CA and back!

Anyone else feel like we went from fall to cold spring this year? My bulbs are popping and no snow or ice in sight here in the valley

This winter is a total bust so far. Not much weather anywhere this winter, but I believe this summer is going to be a real scorcher everywhere. Hope Our States across America are prepared and have ALL their water reservoirs are in excellent working order and full full full of water!!! NO EXCUSES!!!

Thanks for your insights about our weather. Am I the only one who feels that our weather patterns last longer than they used to? I recall that they used to be about a week long before changing. Now they’re frequently weeks long.

Thank you for your wonderful informative channel: you perform a life saving service, especially for those of us, whom by choice or necessity, must travel and or camp in the PNW regardless of conditions! As I travel, people I meet want to know: WHAT HAPPENS IF TRUMP Seizes N.O.A.A. and and privatizes it? People depend upon experts like you to help us correctly analyze conditions. Again thank you for your critical service.

Born on the Salish Sea and have the webbing between my toes to prove it - and lived over a decade in the stunning Mojave Desert & loved it. I know you'll have a blast - let me know if you need any out-of-the-way southern eastern Sierra locations (where the wind can howl) to visit. I joke with my friends there that it's wet there in the way it's dry here (or used to be 😢). And any time I see a rising plume of wildfire smoke, I explore multiple exits - nothing triggers animal fear more. And then feel gratitude for first responders.

Per Seattle NWS AFD: A pattern is starting to emerge that the next potential round of precip, no matter how minor, is simply being pushed out an additional 24 hours until there is sufficient indications of the current ridge breaking down, and thus allowing the forecast, including the long term, to unfold from there. That about sums it up.

Oh yeah! Clear sky for all the planets lining up this week! At -40°F, Fun is setting up a wire space needle, or giraffe, u pick, and then mist nozzles all night!! Mist over balloons all over the yard (2lt plastic jug beside, to access & pop balloons, and install a cool-bulb light.), Wowie various size clear dome yard lights to awe!! Or partly freeze a bowl of water, pour out the rest, you have an ice dome. Kids love doing this! 😊
