It's also impressive how most people choose such confessional term to enclose themselves in a cognitively dissonant, pseudo-self-accomplishing sub-cultural way to deny any personal shortcoming of theirs and, in fact, especially in this case always pointing their finger in spite of the exhaustingly long string of scandals regarding their churches. Schwerpunkt has made me understand a lot about the psychology behind the fall and how the more people distance themselves from Tradition the more invent straw-men to justify their own sub-normality

@@emiliascholer9047 What strikes me the most in general, beyond the sheer theological, political and moral issues of the Reformation, how many people especially from the lower classes are systematically trained to hate, offend and vilify the Catholic Church without any historical-religious education or cultural literacy/background on the topic whatsoever. It's a peak of post-Traditional, actually atheistic (look which countries abandoned Christianity altogether and what confession they were before that) anti-standard hatred for the failure in their personal accomplishment. It was this always since ever: we trained billions of people that they shouldn't worry to be human and this is the result. It would be obvious for the lesser to take this literally to avoid confronting with any value and hating anything that remembers them that no matter how they hurry the Truth is faster than them

It was interesting to hear from @schwerpunkt about this indeed, although it doesn't matter which confession does it as long as it is done. It needs to stop as a whole but nor Protestant nor Roman Catholic churches should be judged solely on the actions of some priests/clerics. Accountability is important and even if some escape the judgement of men, God knows the truth to the full extent and that should (have been) be frightening enough.

I have been trying to figure out where he is from based on the way he speaks and I've ruled out a few areas for sure, but I've never reached a point where I could confidently say I know it.
