Cold war drama's & novels are always worth it, but the reality of those who lived the life must have been hell always looking over your shoulder & being suspicious of everyone & everything, they needed nerves of steal to live under such a strain

Patricia that is what I wondered. Just finished and wanted to know about that very bitter agent!! Can any body help?

Its ALL politics. Equating to power, meaning money. "The Americans wanted involvement regarding "the Jews". They are people just like those hypocrites pulling strings with money to get more of same.

A Cold War opus replete with "moles" and "control" echoes of Le Carre but not in his league. How the participants loved to talk - mediocore

Good show! Spoiler comment..well kinda.At any moment I expected Mr. Collier to break down and start confessing with a German accent.
@COBBETT12153 жыл бұрын
Its a well acted and thoroughly enjoyable thriller, but it's patently obvious that Collier is an innocent civilian out of his depth. So their hostile questioning and evasiveness, "friends of Mr Shapiro", seems counter-productive from the outset. It develops and becomes more convincing as the plot widens out.

Typical pompous insecure official, aggressive, over bearing, assuming the worst. It would have been better if he had just said he was from the police and needed to know about the package.

Hadn't heard of any of cast .After listening to first 10 minutes it became apparent why. May have been Director's fault of course or the cliche ridden script which must have been cobbled together by someone who'd read every spy thriller in last 10 years - but didn't have any actual experience of the milieu. Cringeworthy attempts at sophisticated dialogue didn't help. The first 10 minutes are the worst - get through them and it's bearable.
