What I found most helpful is to scan ALL important documents and keep on a cloud (ie email it to myself) to access it even if all your stuff gets stolen and you need new traveldocuments and suddenly have to prove you had a visa in the first place.

One thing I always think about with these videos is how much easier it is to pack lightly when you're going somewhere warm and when you're thin. You just need a lot less physical material.
@vinylhedgehog55743 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is something I thought of. If your boobs are bigger you gotta pack more padded supportive bras which take up a lot more space. I feel like most of these travel youtubers can afford to bring just a few bras/bralettes with minimal or no padding. I think for winter stuff the main thing is packing lots of base layers, but keeping it light with the outerwear since you just need to change the underlayers regularly. And wearing your heaviest items, ie your heaviest boots and heaviest/bulkiest coat. And making sure your kit is good quality, like some materials like merino wool are ultra warm and still lightweight.

All the other packing videos I watched that were about “how to pack the minimum” or “how to pack light” let me laugh because they always bring at least 3 times as much as I do. Hello. I think 5 pairs of underwear is a lot, especially since they dry so quickly. 3 would be enough. 1 bathing suit is fine. You might have too much clothes actually eventhough it doesn't seems a lot to you now. I've been travelling South America for 6 months and SEAsia for a 1 year: very cold and very warm weather with just a 34 liters backpack. My toothpaste and shampoo were solid ones, easier to pack. Just 1 nivea soft cream for face and body (they sell them in very small packages there) 1 deodorant, 1 soap and that was it. A dry bag to secure your high techs during travelling and do your laundry at night is a must to me (put your dirty close in it, some laundry detergent or shampoo if you have nothing else. Close, shake for a few minute. Rince and Voila!) Have a great trip!!!!

I’m curious where you got a couple items, and I have a suggestion also. 1. Those type-dye pants are totally cute and I’d love to know where you got them! Also, I have never seen mascara in a wooden tube, and would love to know where you found that as well. 2. My suggestion. Ok, I know you’re very limited in space if you’re living in a van, but you may still find use for this info, if you’re not already aware of it. There is a website, called Wellness Mama, where you can get free recipes for pretty much any makeup and/or toiletry product. These are all things you can make yourself, with truly natural ingredients, and nothing included that you don’t want. An additional benefit is that they are almost all solids, so they don’t have to go in the liquids bag on a plane. Deodorant, tooth powder, solid lotion and perfume, and lots more to make yourself and have fun with. There’s nothing like having products that all have exactly the scents I want, and only contain ingredients that I approve of! Another website, sort of related, that I love, is Brambleberry, where you can buy all the ingredients and containers for all your homemade natural products. I think you did a really good job showing what you were bringing, and with keeping the quantity down and I hope you really had lots of fun where you went.
@RebeccaSisson4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the tip! I will definitely check it out. The rye dye pants are from a little shop in Sedona, and don’t have a tag, sorry. The mascara is from elate cosmetics: earthhero.com/products/beauty-care/elate-cosmetics-natural-black-mascara/

For the bags, it depends on the airline. Some asian airlines are particularly strict with a 7kg weight limit for carry on, so I'd just check ahead of time. The sunscreen Raw Love mineral sunscreen. The container I brought lasted the full 3 months and I still have some left. Safe travels!

Wait so if you bring only one pair of long socks, and want to use them next day, that means you'll be washing them everyday? Wow that would be too much of a hassle for me. I always bring socks for every day, if I'm traveling for longer than 2 weeks then maybe 10 pairs, since I can wash a bunch of them at once and let them dry not caring if I have a fresh pair or not. what do you mean by that? in europe as well as everywhere else you can bring a suitcase (or a huge 55x40x20cm bag) on a plane as your carry on. her backpack is 50l (not 15) and the size is ok. 60l would already be a problem but her bag looks just fine. i always bring my arcido akra with me as my carry on. and it's a huge bag.
