Ridley is a multipurpose service dog in training. She is task trained to mitigate my psychiatric and physical disabilities. She is granted public access rights to enter non-pet friendly places via The Americans With Disabilities Act and California Disabled Persons Act. Bringing non-service dogs into non pet friendly establishments is illegal. Faking a service dog is a federal crime, and a misdemeanor in many states punishable by 1k+ in fines and jail time. Please do your research before bringing your dog into public to find out if they are pet friendly. Target. Walmart, Disneyland, and any store/establishment that sells food is NOT pet friendly.

My mom puts a spray bottle top on bottles of alcohol. You might want to do that so you could spray the airplane seat before you sit. Wishing you a fun trip and safe travels 🙂

no, she is potty trained and by law service dogs must be potty trained. there are designated potty spots at the parks for service dogs

yes! she actually turns two this coming wednesday, and once she’s evaluated by an orthopedic vet she’ll start mobility training

So I’m honestly a bit confused about the dyeing with service dogs. I plan to owner train a diabetic alert dog because I’ve had events where I’ve dropped down to the low 20’s and felt fine. I’ve tried looking it up online and haven’t gotten much information from that.

If you mean dyeing the dogs tail it is perfectly legal

People dye their service dogs to make them more easily identifiable, since they're often targeted for stealing because they're usually purebred as well as having excellent training. With the amount of SDs that are golden retrievers or labs, it's much easier to identify a stolen dog with a bright pink tail than just a generic X breed

She has said she's a German Shepherd mix and I think once I saw her say possibly some Australian cattle dog.

i have a question for when i personally get my own service dog, when you fly do you get charged for your dog’s luggage?

when i flew i brought my personal suitcase, a smaller carry on suitcase i kept on the overhead compartment for Ridley’s items, and a backpack i kept at my feet

A little late but you can not be charged because the dog is considered medical equipment as is anything the dog needs therefore if you need to check you service dog's bag it is completely free

An e collar is an electronic collar. Unlike a shock collar it uses a stim/vibration instead of an actual shock.

It is a human beep,vibrate, and something it’s not a shock but kinda is.
