Kyle, that’s a smart looking bike! You’re a Gentleman, for carrying the cargo, and being the Pack Mule. Amy does appreciate it.

I asked a French person, and according to them ‘bicyclette’ is an old-fashioned term (my grandad used to use it) based on a brand name (like hoover for vacuum cleaner) and apparently French people say ‘vélo’ instead.

Love your bike set-up, Amy. That Restrap frame bag could have been custom-made for your frame. I’d be interested to see how you fit the bottle cage on the downtube as there isn’t much clearance. I have the same problem as I run a small frame. Kyle - nice Ribble CGR. I almost got one myself as I used to have a steel Dawes Galaxy but ended up getting a CGR in Titanium. It’s a great bike! Both - I’m guessing you’re crossing from Newhaven to Dieppe. The run into Paris is lovely. I’ve only been as far as Gisors but there’s a fair bit of traffic-free voie verte from Dieppe and the roads in France are great. Bonne route! 🇫🇷🇬🇧

I've got the same issue with my Ribble and my out front Wahoo mount and the bar bag. The stem mount supplied doesn't quite fit on the Ribble stem, so I've bought a stem cap mount. Only problem is that I now can't fit my light underneath! Not that I could use the bar bag and light together anyway! Daytime stuff only in the bar bag for me!
