I'll be showing off all my gear soon. I got the microphone and gimbal for Christmas. The camera is still the same phone I've been using since 2018 or so. Happy New Year's, although I will be continuing my tradition of a New Year's video as well. I just figured it out what I'm going to do this afternoon . . .

@@PacoWarabi I was going to ask if you got a Gimbal and I don't even know what they are just know that word?! So I didn't say it. That's really cool you deserve it! We had no Christmas we didn't even have Christmas dinner it was delivered vegan food like I eat 56 years of it. It wasn't at the front door for more than 10 minutes and somebody took it. Why not they bashed in the glass on the front door and so much more! The police said that's a civil matter? So I guess I can just go to the people who did it like smash the window and Bash their window open with a shovel? Okay this is supposed to be a positive place I'm just a little cranky since I've been here we have had no Christmas no holidays birthdays New Year's nothing because somebody makes trouble during all of those times like breaking out car windows or slashing tires or making sure we're in court on my birthday whatever it may be okay okay! I'm a little cranky cuz somebody just unlocked my bottom lock luckily there's a bolt so they can't come in but they're not afraid that I'm in here. I'm afraid of people who aren't afraid of a homeowner being home. We're working on moving I told you about the mountain house but it's not ours yet and we have to get out of here and be somewhere? Where do we hover in the meantime with so much stuff. And it's all just what I have left I've been ripped off. So what I have is mine there's very little to get rid of everything is like you know the couch the dishes your clothing I have very few shoes cuz they were taken long story. But I went from being pretty much a millionaire to nothing. And I took care of people that were experiencing homelessness 427 + years and I created places to get clean and sober places especially for men places especially for women you name it I started the organization and I kept it fed with money and I taught them how to raise funding. One of them that still in existence wouldn't help me! I think my name is on a wall with another woman that helped me do it. Unless they took all that down. Anyways sorry a little bit of end-of-the-year venting. I'm very happy for you and I'll be looking forward to more videos and when we do get up on the mountain will be without phones or anything for a while. So I will say sia in a few months before that happens unless we don't have any phone way up where we will be at. I'll say it before we go that far. The skanky Motel 4 hours from a mountain LOL I honestly don't know what's going to happen but it has to happen in 30 days when I don't have that kind of energy. Thyroid cancer and so much more no treatment for me because I'm allergic. If this is too much for your child please remove it I won't be offended all understand I'm really kind of letting go here. XOXOX

Sounded good. A lot of ambient noise, but everything was clear, recognizable and in stereo.

The ambient noise is actually part of the experience. I want to capture the feeling of being there. Having said that, I will be trying to capture more foreground noises, instead of just background noises. There just wasn't much going on in this park. And it was more than stereo -- it was binaural, which means the microphones are actually using the shape of my ears to pick up the sound. When done well, you not only get left and right sound, but you can tell if a sound is coming from the front and back, and above and below you. Again, it works better when there's more than just background noises.

+1 ) Try to use 50-75Mbps for video, and shoot in 4K.

Yes, I'm definitely increasing the bitrate. I can't shoot in 4K, since my phone doesn't allow it in Open Camera (my phone is a few years old), but I'm going to shoot in as high quality of HD as I can.

@@PacoWarabi Try to change camera API in settings of OpenCamera. Than maybe You be able to shoot in 4K, who knows.

@@kaphicurnam If I got a camera that shot in 4K, I'd need a new gimbal as well, and my editing laptop struggles with 4k editing. I have so many hobbies that I don't want to spend even more on this one.

Higher bitrate is better. I recommend to set at least 50.

I shot another video at 50mbps, and it looked so much better. Unfortunately, my phone firmware has a maximum recording length of 4 gigabytes, which at 50mbps only gives me about 10 minutes of recording time (video coming soon). I'm going to have to tweak the settings to find the right balance of bitrate and file size.
