I had to pause that first wipe out and go frame by frame. I love surfing, love barrels and of course wipe outs. Can’t get sick of a good picture, just like the old days when we had the surfing mags. Epic session as usual. So cool to see the whole thing from the rock dance to the shore and the coming back. Thanks for the entertainment.

Not a lot of surfers have paddled this, maybe half a dozen and no one comes back so well done you guys! Have no idea how you pulled that off on the first wipeout. Witchcraft obviously.

You're a lucky man to have a faithful brother who paddles out with you regardless of the size and conditions. Extra points since he's not a nag... which would ruin a surf trip. And best of all, he's a talented charger. I hope Ivan travels with you more often. Always great to see the Florence brothers ripping. Whose idea was it to not wear booties since there were so many barnacles and some sea urchins and it was your first time to paddle out at this spot? Hmmm... maybe more coffee and less tequila?

Some waves, at some spots...the water sucks out so hard, it's nearly impossible to paddle into them - unless you get that perfect position, on a perfect wave - particularly standup surfing. Sometimes, having a set of good surfing/swim fins on, can push you down, underneath those ledges. Bodyboards love that kind of spot. With some discernment, and wave judgement - the same can be said of kneeboards, as well. Either can raise your 'win' percentage, at a tricky spot, like that one.

@@NathanFlorenceSurfer's ear is real. Probably a good idea to wear earplugs if you are surfing more in cooler water and cool windy air conditions. I am trying to be more careful about this now as the surgery is apparently no fun. Though I hate all the plugs I've tried...
