Paddle Factory Tour- how Stand Up Paddleboard and Kayak paddles are made

Factory tour: How injection molded nylon paddle blades are made, shaft construction, assembly, paddle features, blade design, and more. The shaft features an oval shape shaft with rubber grip coating that is comfortable in the hand and keeps the handle from twisting and being mis-aligned with the blade. This factory recently moved into a new building with well thought out facilities.

02:30. An oval profile is such a simple but excellent improvement. I assume round is simpler therefore cheaper to make. Seems the wheel needs to be re-invented every so often. The Viking 2 handed battle axe went one better. It had an egg shaped profile with the “top” of the egg in line with the blade so the wielder knew, in the heat of combat, how to hold the weapon without looking at it.
