Here in Alaska, the orcas have been playing with paddleboarders this year. Nobody's been hurt so far, but several have been pretty terrified.

you can tie your board to the kelp bulb with the paddle board ankle strap (since you aren't using it anyways). That way you can stay in one spot. By the way for rockfish/lingcod, do you think jighead and swimbait is more effective than using squid as bait?

Bro I just bought a blow up paddle board(11’x34”) and I took it out to a local man made lake just to try it out it felt sketch. I originally wanted to take it out to Avila beach where they have a small bay and calm waters but I think I need to get some practice

Good video Adam! Reminds me of using a kelp clip on my kayak behind the Wash Rock in Anchor Bay. Caught my PB Cabezon that twisted itself up in about a bushel and a half of kelp. I felt like the little kid digging through the manure pile ‘cause there “has to be a pony in here.” 😂 took about 15 minutes to untangle that mess, but totally worth it. Question: Once you put a motor on a paddle board, does it need to be registered at DMV?

You are at 4 mile. It is part of wilderness ranch, a protected fishing zone. You are drifting north in the current and the wind is out of the north, directly opposite. Love your videos. Be safe that area is very very sharky!

Totally agree. Not to mention the profile of the board resembles that of an small elephant seal from underneath. He’s just asking for trouble.

The Natural Bridges State Marine Reserve that you’re referring to is very shallow water. Depth range: 0 to 10 feet See here. wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation/Marine/MPAs/Natural-Bridges Adam appears to be in deeper waters

Dude, you’re insane! I would never fish off a paddleboard or even a kayak in open Ocean. Not with great white sharks in the water with me. Hell no especially with your legs dangling over the board. You are a braver man than I. I won’t even Wade in the water out past my waist. I don’t fear anything on land, but the ocean is terrifying especially in New Jersey where you can’t see more than 2 inches into the water because it’s so polluted and dirty

What safety precautions are you taking. Currents and wind can mess u up out there. AND SHARKS!! EVERYONE ever lost at sea and recovered talk about shark encounters. If u keep doing that you're gonna have one of those.
