Depends on how you define their music. Yes, their old music sounds heavier, but the unofficial tag line of the band since 2008 is “to make the people swing happily along arm in arm to the beat of our sound”. This song, while different, does fit into that category.

But even so: at least it sounds a lot more like the old PATR than most their previous songs in the past few years. The pirate theme fits well with their older Irish sound and they already did at least once with Join the Riot. Also, for the first time in a few years they're wearing their usual costumes again. I think this song would've fit in with Join the Riot if Paddy had sung the verses more aggressively instead of just the chorus. I think the entire album will feature some more old-school-like songs, though. The artwork of the album looks insanely good and some of the songs suggest a different sound as well. They're just trying to broaden their horizon a little, like Alestorm did with some of their songs (e.g. Treasure Chest, Party Quest and Tortuga). Sometimes it doesn't fit so well (e.g. their songs during the COVID ‘lockdown’ and Everybody Get Up), other times it fits better (e.g. Party Like A Pirate, After The Rain (with ATR, maybe not 100% lyrically, but instrumentally, their familiar sound is definitely there)). Either that, or Napalm is now doing the thing most record companies do: only release radio-friendly songs]/potential chart toppers as singles and leave the truly good stuff for the true fans who will buy the album.
