The strikes that hit paddy are solid but when his mop of blonde hair flies back, it makes it look so much more powerful. Its a cinematic effect. If he was hit so hard, how come he doesn't get knocked out? Every fighter can be knocked-out. It was very smart to put his hair in corn rows for the beating of Tony Ferguson.
