totally true .. alot wrong with boxing.. so bad you cant follow it... corruption where to draw to the total champ/hero means you have to get a ko ... dodging competitive fights to hold onto belts or a zero.... get get a fight unless your linked to certain promoter etc

Max was 19 years old when he fought McGregor and Connor's big mouth and trash talking and he couldn't finish them it was a decision unanimous but still a decision it just goes to show you all the cans that McGregor have been fighting before Max

Bottom line: Almost every middle class American tries to save/invest anywhere near 1 million to retire. Those making millions and still going broke are stupid to now manage their finances well. They get caught up in a lavish lifestyle of $$$, multiple exotic cars, gambling, and expensive women. Look at many of the athletes who go broke bc of their lavish lifestyle. Athletes should have a trusting and good financial advisor/agent to help them retire after their career.
@andreahighsides7756

These are professional athletes. They have to pay for a large amount of medical care (both while competing and when retired), they have to pay their training camp, they will not be able to work in this career more than a few years and once they are out they will likely not be able to work in any job at the same capacity they could before due to brain damage. This isn’t as cut and dried as a typical 9-5

@andreahighsides7756 Understandable, but the UFC has places in their facilities for their athletes when they are hurt. Just like a musician who makes millions on a 1 hit wonder, people will have to manage their finances. I was a former athlete as well in college, but I knew that many athletes need a supplemental income years after they retire when they are pro. I have two friends who played in the NFL who had good agents help them supplement their income- one owns a few car washes in the Dallas area. Another owns a few kiosks in the airport. They both made the league minimum and remain not working after their 10 year careers

@@andreahighsides7756 If Connor McGregor files for bankruptcy like many millionaire athletes/musicians, he did not need to have a Lamboeghini yacht, dock it at Monaco for over a million dollars a day, and have a fleet of sportscars each worth more than my house. He could easily put aside 1 million of that money and live a modest lifestyle. Afterall, many of us are trying to make near a million to retire.

With these lousy contracts (pay) in UFC, they should at least have some sort of health insurance and professional support when it comes to mental health, and equal to ALL fighters under their contract! - Especially at the end, or after their career.

Sad but yet a beautiful story ... Great video. Every MMA-fan should watch this. It deserves a million views. Huerta is a hero. There are so many videos on KZbin titled "What happened to..." or "The rise and fall of..." but they all fade into clickbaits compared to this video. One FC has brutal rules btw.

Because they blow their money on nonsense, Man STFU, I work on power lines, I risk my life every damn day, 1 false move I am a dead man. No UFC fighter has died in a cage, the docs wouldn't let that happen, so don't give me this nonsense you put your lives on the line when you fight, its a fist fight, we all do it in our lives, its not a war with guns, risking your lives is a complete lie! If you're broke, it's because you don't know how to budget your money, they make too much anyway if ya ask me! I should be making more than UFC fighters but I'm not, I actually do risk my life every day!

Fighters should have the freedom to secure their own sponsorships, as this allows them to maximize earnings without burdening the UFC. They should also receive a fair share of PPV revenue, regardless of popularity, to incentivize all fighters to perform at their best. With and additional increase in fight of the night and championship fights The UFC should cover training camp expenses to ensure fighters can focus on preparation without financial stress. This would be huge Post-career opportunities, such as coaching or commentary, should be provided, along with optional financial planning programs to help fighters manage their earnings paid by the fighters. A retirement savings program could also be offered on a voluntary basis. But this is covered by fighters. No pension. & finally medical bills and rehab should remain the fighter’s responsibility . Overall, these changes would balance financial fairness with the UFC's business model while supporting fighters’ long-term well-being.

Interesting choice sucking romero’s cck and making the video as disrespectful for to Bisping and GSP as possible. Bisping was past his prime and won the belt in a legendary fashion with one eye lying to the commission in order to continue fighting. He was on borrowed time and took the legacy fight. GSP had done it all as well and had every right to retire on top. Two of the greatest middleweights in history. Romero was good but insanely overrated as his kind always seem to get to be. Got some good wins but entered the game late and lost when it counted. Otherwise fairly decent Whittaker documentary.

Cause he came from Glory, he’s performance is spectacular and of course, he’s paid in millions!!! You must be good to be paid!!! And sometimes you need to take the risks!And they all wanted to be fighters, they need to know what that game brings! It’s still new game, but soon we will see more and more consequences… Brain damage , dementia, broken bone 🦴

No pity for them, they can read the contract before signing it so they know what there getting Into, and they still sign it why?? There looking for fame not for the art of martial arts, there's a lot of skilled martial artists out there making more than ufc fighters and there doing less .. its no one's fault some fighters are stupid and ego filled and wants the ufc exposure .. if you're not selling out arenas why should you get paid the same as someone who is , that's literally riding off someone's tail of you want ppv money work harder and get people to be invested whether that's liking you or hating you it's called marketing
