I' m a tutor by profession . I do appreciate your programme and respect Professor ,Raj Somadewa . He is not a mere archaeologist . He is a man of the first water. He is such a resource that the next generation to see the light of this world should be lucky enough to see a person like this. If wanted to develop a country , the people in that country are forced to explore and love the history of that country . Since this week, it was made compulsory for my students to watch your programme . May you both live long!
Thank you so much for doing this program. Hope our administration 🙏 have time to listen to get the advice. Theruwansarani to all of you, Sri Lankans and the Whole World!

Wow maara interesting. Great information. And if someone can make a film about our history that would be helpful to our future generation.
Thakuraka, is the title not the personal name. This same word transformed 'Thakur/Thakura" is still used by many Rajputs to this day. Love the narrative from India 🇮🇳... And Rajputs who are descendants of Vaidika Kshatriyas would never marry out of Varna. Especially the first wife has to be from same varna. Hence explaining Srimati Padmavati Devi's Rajput origin despite her family being located in Simhala is an admirable effort. Jaya Rajputana!!!

Monks when they write down history have often used titles as names.... This is true in some inscriptions too... I think even we do this in modern times also...

Can you kindly explain us the Rajputh code if it's not a trouble for you? Because as I guess from your comment, you must be a Rajputh... So if it's true, I would love to learn more about Rajpuths 💛

@@jdyisouifu1371 I'm not a historian but I did some searching on the web regarding karawa people cuz my mother is from karawa community... My findings; Karawa people came here as an army very similar to the rajputs and they also had ships... so they stayed close to the shore... Theres an old text in museum called mukkura hatana... Afterwards, they mixed with the locals and became part of the sinhalese. Since they already had experience in sea fearing, most of them became involved in fishing. Both puran appu(my mother says puran appu is one of her ancestors) and Gen Sarath fonseka are also from this community.. Also in one of the earlier videos, professor mentions about an inscription from anuradhapura period with the word "KARAWA" in it.
