Hello Ethan, I like your mastery very much. I would interest you explain how to breath (vinyasas) in supta kurmasana. Because I don' t find any tutorial clear. Thank you very much. I enjoy Ashtanga.

Thank you. I think I tore the medial meniscus in my left knee and now am adjusting carefully when doing yoga (still keeping up the practice). Would love to see more tips on how to slowly ease back for a recovering knee. Thanks again!

I love this. I can do step 1&2 on the right side pain begins at step 3 on the outside of knee. Left side isn’t a problem. Used to be ok though never a comfortable position in padmasana. Any ideas? TIA

Hey Laura, you could try either supporting the lotus leg with a towel underneath, or temporarily modifying by not closing the knee beyond 90 degrees then keeping the foot flexed throughout the asana to protect the knee - I’ll record something to show that & a few other options for modifications when I get the chance.

Yes Ethan , even I investigated a lot during my padmasana , 3 years back. I hv question Ethan , do v hv to point toes while sitting in padmasana or keep Feet relaxed ...?? I guess feet relaxed and knee pushing down is opening the point where calves muscles r meeting with thighs ,while in bended leg... Actually I feel happy discussing with u .

Legs & feet can be fairly relaxed once you’re comfortably in the asana

I experience ankle pain especially in Marychasana B&D. Any tips please?

It’s not uncommon. Continue to work on opening the hips over time so you don’t have as much pressure on the ankle. For now it might help to take the foot deeper into the hip crease when setting up - then keep the foot active/engaged during the pose.
