Brilliant! The points about the calves are most interesting. Very intelligent approach here. Usually one just sees people talk about pigeons, cobblers and shoe laces as a means of accessing lotus - never hear anything about the calves and how the calf system relates to ankles, knees and hips. Great workshop, thanks!

After watching a lot of videos about how to do the Padmasana, this video is by far the best! You have shown how to slowly develop the body to finally go into Padmasana. You are one of the best teachers!!!! 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you so much ma'm for this lesson.....

Thank u ma'am 6 months ago I started practicing padmasana My right knee bone doesn't rotate as expected so I forcefully placed my right ankle on left thigh and injured my knee joint( it still hurts) Please every one give yourself time and progress slowly And never do what I did
@SL-fu7sh4 жыл бұрын
Vladimir Putin From my experience, you are rotating from the hip not the knee! What you did by forcing is how people tear their meniscus.

Nice video! "As if by magic, here we are: Lotus"...as if by magic...it took me 4 years of streatching to, as if by magic, there I was: Lotus...hahahaha...when I started practicing yoga I almost injured my knee. Take your time people, do the basic exercises like this video teaches, step by step, and one day it will work.

17:50 Unfortunately when I put a block there there is no magic and, my foot still isnt higher than my calf because Im obese. There must be a way to do this thou seeing Buddha did (and Im using a higher block than you are using there too)

I am hoping to do this pose by the end of the year. It hurts my left ankle at the moment

Hi Leigh - yes take your time and be very careful with your beautiful body. Even if you don't reach the pose, its the journey and the practice that really counts xx

I don't have problems with my knees but the upper side of my feet hurt everytime I go into the lotus.. do you know what I do wrong?
@jenno0o4 жыл бұрын
As a kid mucking around id easily sit in lotus and then jump around in that posture. I didn’t give it a second thought. Now as an adult it’s so hard!!

Hi Nikki - our best advice is take your time and listen to your body - there is no race in yoga :-)

Namaste, you great ladies at Love Yoga Online!!! I´ve seen most of your videos and find them the most useful out of all these one can see on YTube; besides, your approach is also far more intelligent, I find your work so different from others, of higher quality and energy too. Suits me completely! :) Thank you very, very much for your precious work! God bless you! P.S.: Are you (your studio) situated in UK, maybe? If so, where, please? Thanx in adv.
@LoveYogaOnline6 жыл бұрын
Hello! I'm so sorry for the very late reply! There is no UK studio, although the individual teachers can be found mostly in London and Cornwall xx

Gemma Ford - Love Yoga Online Hello again! Thanx for reply. So, no teachers in Manchester area, beside London&Cornwall...? Just checking, one year after my previous post... :)
@LoveYogaOnline6 жыл бұрын
Hello!! It's lovely to connect :-) No teachers in Manchester still, although I'm sure there are excellent teachers there, but none that I can recommend. I suggest trying a number of classes and finding a teacher that resonates with you - enjoy xx

I fall in love with your beautiful lotus video, first i tried lotus pose i tore my right meniscus, and now my inner thigh is less tight compared to the past,i think beacuse of trying to protect my knee much more. what do you suggest for me, should i keep working consistently and carefuly, thank you so much, namaste.
@LoveYogaOnline6 жыл бұрын
Hello treasure - I'm sorry to hear you injured yourself. My best advice is to really, deeply listen to your body, do not push hard if there is resistance or pain. Not every yoga pose is right for all of us, for example headstand is not the best pose for me, as explained to me by an Ayurvedic doctor. The practice is to enable us to create balance, calm and peace in the body - have that be your first priority and you won't go wrong xx
