Lotus flow please. I also just want to say I love your detailed explanation. It always makes sense after listening to you. Also, could you possibly explain inversions, please. I've watched a few things on KZbin, but nothing comes close to the way you explain things. I then thought I bet you have a video on it but have failed in finding one. Thanks

Thank you for this video! I've been so discouraged with my external hip rotation and tempted to push through the pain but I think I truly do have legitimate hip joint obstacles. I will instead incorporate some of these lengthening stretches into my routine and try to accept my hips for what they can do. :)
@MurdocksMenagerie3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your video. I've been meditating daily for over a year and though I have been careful to prop myself up with a rolled up blanket as to keep my knees below my hips, I have only recently been interested in achieving lotus pose. Unfortunately my hip and hamstring flexibility is almost non existent. I need serious work and it's still probably gonna take me a while to get there.

Phew! Passed all three tests as I have been practising lotus lately. I can't usually come into it straight away, but have to let the hip release a little first until the knee drops to the ground.

I replied to another video before this that sent me here but unfortunately, this video does not help me for some reason. My issue is just the top of my right foot being crushed and pulled. Is it maybe just something I need to learn to deal with ? I have joint hypermobilty. I’m very flexible so that is not the issue for once lol being double jointed or whatever you wanna call it really sucks actually for day to day life lol it just seems exciting to people watch what I can do but it’s only caused me issues all my life oh well anyways. What do I do? Do other people just have the top arch of their foot hurting from being squeezed & crushed and pulled or is it just me? And when I try to make it more comfortable I think my foot wants to keep turning instead of staying completely sideways Like it’s not my angle that hurts but definitely maybe the way my foot’s turned I don’t know. I am the worse of following directions. I’ve looked at step-by-step photos. I don’t know. 🤦♀️🤔😕 and yes, I passed all the test. There were fine, easy not an issue. And the bottom of my foot does not hurt just the top part like Maybe I’m doing something I don’t even even realize 🤷♀️ maybe crushing my own foot bc not relaxing lol idk any help would be great. I know I’m like four years late to the party. Apparently this is a very old video so anyways not sure if youll respond but thank you for letting me rant & ramble as if im talking to someone lol Im knew to commenting. No im not that old just never rarely make comments or well i. Don’t know how to even figure out what to find if anyone replied to my replies before 🫤

My ankle feels too stretched in lotus and I'm afraid to sprain it. is there anything I can do to ease the ankle pressure of the lower leg?
@ashtangayogagirl43594 жыл бұрын
Hi Renee, if the ankle is hurting it's usually just about the hips! It's just that the tension in the hips is so strong that the force is pressing down on the ankle. Keep practising your hip openers and general yoga practice and just test Padmasana towards the end of each practice. It will come!
@reneefaith57564 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, your suggested hip stretches helped!! I can now hold lotus pose without pain (feet facing up versus feet facing tummy) for almost 10 minutes now! Only issue now is feet fall asleep by 10 minutes. Any suggestions for this? Thank you for your wisdom!

Hi there! I have a question. I don't want forcing my self to fast, that's why I gently sit first in half-lotus position. Now-why often bottom leg is going slowly sore/dead? (sorry, I'm not sure in english, I start feeling ''ants'' lol) so I know I blocking blood circulation. Actually my top leg heel is about my centre and toes just over the bottom quads, if we look from top. I tried go deeper with top leg, but I loosing comfort position for bottom heel. Any suggestions, please? I hope I described clear enough. All the best, Tom.
