only having 56k subscribers is criminal, the information he provides is immensely beneficial. I’ve been taking lessons for about 1.5 years and then information he gives is worth 10x what those lessons cost. The jump drills have been a game changer, better contact, tight ball flight and easier on the back. Thank you for taking time to do this, hard to not root for Paddy going forward!

I’ll be 64 in December. I played golf in my 20’s and 30’s, not very well. Basically, if I broke 100 I treated myself to a beverage of my choice. My youngest son started playing golf back in March and asked me to join him. My first time out at the range I beat the hell out of my body. I’ve given myself a year to find my swing. I’ve went through, probably ever rabbit hole on KZbin, and there are a lot of good instructors out there. I bought a course. None of them really gave me the, ah ha moments, I’ve been looking for, until now. Prior to stumbling upon Mr. Harrington, I was hitting my driver ~200 yards. After your no nonsense, layman terms videos I’m hitting my driver ~286. I’m blessed, as far as golf is concerned to have stumbled across your instructions. Thank you so much for doing these. Your video on green reading is pure gold. Thank you.

This is some of the best advice on KZbin. Listen to a guy who knows what he is talking about. He has done it. My personal experience matches exactly what he is saying, most of the speed comes from the arms and wrists. So many people try to get speed from the body and turn it is such bad advice. Thanks Paddy. Your passion shows through in your videos. Hope to see a lot more from you.

13:36 - Paddy absolutely nailed it here. Moving the hip/pelvis completely independent from the torso is guaranteed to lose speed. Once that stretch is lost it's over. Having excellent X-Factor is very important, the stretch created near change of direction must be maintained at least for a while with everything still connected. The move toward the target in the backswing, and the subsequent change of direction, will create an X-Factor stretch, which in turn creates lag both in the wrists and club shaft! 14:08 - The Sammy Snead hip/pelvis move, everyone should learn it!

I am back again to say Thank YOU Thank YOU Thank YOU AGAIN 👍. "body separation " has never done anything for me in term of adding speed and distance. Never learn to use the core to power the swing. Now with hip leading the swing while staying connected to body change alot of things for me - feeling of the core firing and need to maintain that stretch in the leading side during the swing. Definitely added distance, striking sounded much more solid. I dont know how much more distance since balls were flying left and right with a huge curve but 2 days on the range showing balls landed and rolled to corners i have never reached before. many possitive things i feel but not sure how to word them. will follow up when i figured out how to fly the ball a bit straighter. Lord Harrington of the swing, Thank YOU sir.

Brilliant. The stretch across the lead side through the core and chest vs. the spinning of the hips, is the key to useful separation. If you take nothing else from this video, take that and apply it. It's not just a power move. It's a golf move. Maximize the distance between the lead foot and the lead shoulder through the ball. Easy, useful rotation without even trying to rotate. Just brilliant for golfers of all levels.

This makes a whole lot of sense now after my last lesson. I was under the impression that when my coach was telling me to make a faster turn he meant fire my hips faster, which was always a loss of speed for me. He corrected me by getting me to feel that stretch and then turn my shoulders faster, which instantly added a whole lot of distance without too much more effort, actually less effort. I like your explanation better though, so thanks!
