I'm brutally honest but there is a huge difference between being brutally honest and straight up disrespectful. Yes, I did hurt people with my honesty but it was for their own good ( to prevent teen pregnancy scares, drugs, suicides, etc) not for a wedding dress, I dont think that's worthy enough to ruin someone's day for.

The problem with “Mr Michael” is most of what he said wasn’t constructive. Constructive criticism can sound harsh but shows someone truly cares enough to want you to grow and become better. Although that may have been his intentions, he was being rude, harsh and down right mean! Like grow up, if you’re really a coach tell her how to be better not how much everything she does is always wrong. So self centred and unsympathetic. It’s just sad. At least he finally let her be happy in a dress she loved because she looked beautiful!

I wonder if Mr Michael was actually feeling uncomfortable because this was going to be HER wedding, and a new phase in her life when her focus and attention would shift to her husband and, eventually, family. Perhaps he felt his importance to her was waning and, out of that, his insecurity made him try to re-establish his dominance with her today. The thing that bothers me (on behalf of competitors) is that more often than not, when the pageant coaches appear on shows with brides or other contestants, they give off some of the same vibes as this guy. Bossy, possessive, and seemingly unaware of their effect on their clients. I hope you’re right that this isn’t true across the board; in any case, there’s an image problem that is disturbing.
