Electrical Engineer here Lithium ion batteries don't "explode".. they heat up, puff, smoke and catch fire.. plenty of time for the user to detect something is heating up in his pocket The pagers were definitely tampered.. the battery alone cannot create such a significant blast.. plenty of experiments on KZbin as well showing shorted out lithium ion batteries.. they don't "explode" my friend

Strongly disagree here. Respect you opinion but if it was Update thing it would've effected many others same recently happened on crowd strike issue. Yes i know there was explos attached to them but even if there's non even other pagers could've been blasted just due to that update/bug. It can happened due to a call/message with such a frequency which couldn't handle by the pager and due it all of those pagers blasted as they were having explos. Now cause no pager is safe in this attack we dont have a good forensic job to do here but that can be a good reason for attackers as well as they wanted it to be like that, so nothing can trace back to them.

AOA Kamran Bhai, when i heard that news about blasting pagers so at that time my persnol assumation was pager might got any bug in its software its triggerd by a software and blasting matrial was alreeady in there"Battery". but after that watching media reports about investigation on these blasts was a planned explosive installed inside but i was not convinced by it beacuse as you told can't be implanted on mass production and it's just not make sence to me because I'm tech guy so i know these can be done easily through a software bug and at this time of era it's easy thing to do when you are cappable to send those bugs through software update on selected imei's
