You see? Here’s the thing. If you were never treated as family by this so called family, you were not family. And, if you couldn’t treat me like family, I don’t have to either. Family is not a one way road. It’s not about dna. It’s about love and respect. If you can’t even manage that, I can walk away and it’s not my fault you still think status quo will work with me.

Take notes people. This is a narcissistic family, and he is the scapegoat. Look at the entitlement, look at the grandiosity. They're only worried about their image, not about their son's mental health or his inability to continue to put himself in a financial stressful situation for them.

If she couldn’t handle work and school, how is she going to handle being an attorney? It is a lot of work. And they don’t actually teach you how to lawyer in school. You do most of that at your first job. She was always going to fail. Better she learn earlier than later.

11:31 As a lawyer myself I can say that you can wing it law school for sure. 😂😂😂😂 During my third year I spent more time in bars than in the classroom and yet I graduated and am relatively successful, with my own law firm today. Only 6 years into practice. I also had a 9 to 5 job during my studies, even though I had a full scholarship. Working is way worse. Not even a comparison. _I know this is just a fake story, but don't let people who say this discourage you,You don't have to be the best in the class in everything you do, I wasn't, I was far from it, and even so today I have my own company._

I send what I can to my folks of my own volition. They made clear I don't have to and not to do so at a detriment to me. I still plan to find a way to get them all they wanted, but couldn't due to money or lack of resources. Not because they ever demanded it or insinuate that I 'owed' them. That said - I'll NEVER understand folks, claiming to be "family" demand one of their kids, much less the blacksheep/scapegoat, to "pay up" for them doing THE BARE MINIMUM. OP owed his genetic donors nothing but his ass to kiss and never look back after moving out.

He needs to respond the job he worked hard to attain all on his own is nothing to them, it is a source of ridicule for them, something to actively belittle and mock. That job they think is beneath them, something not one of them could probably figure out, that job paid their way. They want to demean him and his profession? They can go ahead and pay for her schooling with their jobs. It isn't as if he doesn't pay for the same bills that they do. Go annoy your parents sis, after all, they apparently have successful well respected jobs. Not something any moron can obtain with simple google searches. Edit: "It isn't much, just enough to cover bills for a couple months" Huh, what? That isn't much to you? How privileged are they?

Plot twist- he was orphaned as a young child and the voices of his family demanding money were just that-their voices in his head demanding money that in a fugue state would stuff into a mattress or slip into a hole in the floorboards of his house... he got help and began medicating and now those pesky voices are all gone... the final messages from family about his folks were just that. The final spurts of his psychosis as he was managing things...

He's a coward.
