Pailhead were a short lived side project which included Al Jourgensen of influential industrial metal band Ministry and Ian McKaye in their lineup. This track is from their 1990 EP Trait.

The year this song was written Washington, DC had 436 murders, in a city of less than 500k residents, which was the city's third record-breaking homicide year in a row, and which earned the city the title of "murder capitol" of the country, so no, not quite.
@davidwhite35982 жыл бұрын
@@davidcurtis3666 I just checked. Today is May 28, 2021. 232 mass shootings so far this year and I live in Chicago where 40+ people get shot every weekend
@davidcurtis36662 жыл бұрын
@@davidwhite3598 - I see your point, and that sucks, Chicago has it rough for sure. Not trying to diminish your POV. Will note though that with only 206 fatalities, i.e., murders, from those mass shootings nationwide so far this year that it's not the most apt comparison to either DC when the song was written, or Chicago now, with over 700 murders last year, and I'll add, for context, with a population of Abt 9 million in the Chicago area today those 706 murders seem less to me when compared to an area with only about half that population having over 400 murders in a year. I get that it is more, because the number is in fact higher, but to me the higher percentage seems more impactful. Different points of view. Either way, murders are on the rise again, and the song is still relevant.
