The problem is not about believing the reason. I do. 300% It is more about reworking my life. The reason I became sick was family toxicity, toxic relationships. I did a big clean up. And now that I have new relationships, get more active, the pain is increasing. There is guilt at living family but the way say it is that I cannot continue in a relationship pretending who I am not. And I still love them. One day. And I am not waiting for that day. I did a lot to make it happen now their turn. And Nathan was talking about. Fight and flight, about moment of joy. So relate to that. That is why I would love to connect with him. Starting drawing classes

Pausing to comment on the self-care rituals. Until very recently, my rituals had taken over all of my free time outside of work. Now, I'm back to just doing my normal stuff I've done my entire adult life. Really enjoying this story.

I feel so motivated.. My story started in 2017 where i became ssick and presented with Tia symptoms but the dr at Casualty refused to do a lumbar puncture. I was then transfered to a psych hospital. But within 2 days i was sent back to the medical hospital because i vomited. Long story short I stayed in hospital for a month. When I left the hospital I coukd not walk. I had vision problems and i had a speech impediment. Fast forward to today I have been suffering with chronic back pain and dizzineness. This is the reason I find myself i your channel.

Nathan, thank you. I am also symptom free. I have come to realize that several attacks on my body in the past were most likely TMS/PDP. The likes of chronic IBS, Rosacea, 3 different types of Psoriasis and then chronic knee pain. I started out journaling, and spending much time on healing. I do not regret that I did that. But, I am now able to being more easy on myself, because I know what it is and I can now stop freaking out. Dan, your are simply the best. Thank you.

Thank you Nathan & Dan for this interview ! Wow I have never heard anyone explain the exact symptoms I have had for the past 2 years like Nathan has !! The right side pain, and feeling like it is "stuck" and super tight, from my back to my abdomen ! It has affected everything I do and every thought I have had. The pain sitting , the inversion table, tens unit, chiropractor, tests, etc etc. , waking up with that same thought of "ok i feel good now, but I have to get out of bed and it won't last". And also the comment on thinking if he only didn't have a right side of the body, he would feel much better -- That's Me !! Seriously this is so encouraging !!! Thank you Thank you ! Yes - the simplicity of how you teach this - u and Dr Schrubiner - I get it now. I went to a course several years ago - very similar stuff, but presented in a different way, and it just did not work for me, I did not get it. I felt like I had somehow failed - again. I now get it ! TY.

God bless Nathan and Dan for this testimony. As of right now, I'm hearing voice when i try to fall back to sleep. I'm having boughts of insomia. But, knowing Isnomia can be tms driven helps me get of the physical problem mode to TMS/PDP mindset. And yes, some big change have taken place this week with my work and personal life. I'm flaired. But, I'm not as afraid because I know what it is.

I ask because I’ve had a difficult time trying to recover from TMS and I don’t think I’ve ever noticed any progress, but some progress seems like the only thing that would actually make this process easier. Hi, I agree with Dan's comment. The reason I believe it was difficult was just due to the brain's (nervous system) "learning process". Dan has explains the power of repetition. Like learning how to play an instrument. When you learn to play an instrument you are essentially training your nervous system (its called the law of facilitation). Its challenging at first but through practice / repetition you get better. Once you get one thing down you move on to the next challenge and at some point you will master the instrument. Same with this process for me. For me it was and is about repetition. Telling your brain your are safe with calm reassurance.

It tried dnrs and it does work but I didn’t like having to tell my symptoms to stop and not think about it at all I felt like it was repressing and that’s what I’ve been doing my whole life. Hi, it was about a week after I watched the DVD's for the first time and I had symptoms flare. It was a Sunday and I remember it vividly. I was feeling better that first week by "stopping" the negative looping thoughts. The second time I watched I heard things differently. Bill made comment such as "I am going to go and do, and enjoy it". It changed my mental state from a defensive mode to an offensive mode. It's one thing to try and stop the negative looping, however you have to retrain or learn the brain to look at the positives. I had the taste of one week with symptom reduction and that was the fuel to motivate me forward. I hope this helps!

It scared me when I heard you say you lost your family. Because I don’t want that to happen to me. I spend all my time pretending that I’m healthy and happy because I don’t want my children to suffer. but your video has helped me and made me realise I need to make the effort to change. Nathan I started DNRS at Xmas but gave up on it because I too couldn’t visualise or connect with any positive memories. Much past and recent trauma. The worst did actually happen so it’s hard to shake. Did you start doing this eventually in DNRS? All the rounds you have to do just seem like so much when you are completely exhausted from years or chronic insomnia

Hi Linda, oh yes they were difficult. It started with small rounds, like three/five minutes. Maybe just a few a day but I tried to as many as possible. I was not doing an hour. And was I really finding the joy? Likely not. Some times you have to fake it to make it (at least that is how I look back at it). Looking back the rounds they were settling my nervous system (because it was pegged when I started). And Dan is correct, his concepts got me to the finish line. There is a difference between just trying to find joy and telling yourself you are safe with calm reassurance. I perceived everything in my life as a threat and you can try to pile on joy, but you aren't getting to the root which is perceived danger. Hearing PDP made me look at everything different. It actually really helped me to find the joy. I was still doing DNRS rounds when I found Dan's channel and I stopped them within the next month. I hope this helps. 1.) You are awesome! 2.) Your past does not define you!! 3.) You are beautifully and wonderfully made and you are not broken!!!

I just want to see your success story really moved me I’m only three weeks into this but I was in tears at the end because I was so excited that hey maybe this can work for me. It’s been a long time my brain seems to be used to this pain that’s what my doctor says anyway.You would make an awesome coach, you explained everything so well thank you for your encouragement.

I do not tell people what to do. I have noticed people get angry and upset, if a doctor says their ibs or fibromyalgia or allergy is mental. Some people want to be sick. I am trying to understand if I am strong enough to give up the sick self.

I have a reason that I started eating a lot of vegetables. In the past one of my tms symptoms was digestion, every issue. Through a lot of different treatments I got better. Of course Tms showed up somewhere else. One idea of treatment was to eat less fiber, less fruit and vegetables. Recently eating more I am again having symptoms. Mainly constipation and bloating. Hard not to treat the body. I can do a bit for comfort, be nice to myself. It will not fix Tms. Overall know I need to influence my brain that I’m safe. But I don’t if vegetables are safe for me or not. I do seem to do better with higher meat and fat.

Hi I noticed your comment on Dianne‘s site about digestive issues. I’m here for trigeminal neuralgia I’ve had for many years constant nerve pain. But I’ve been constipated since a kid I’ve read a lot on the keto diet but red meat makes me so constipated I get spasms like I’m in labor tothree days later. I do have hypoglycemia so I feel really good on protein just don’t seem to digested I take a lot of supplements HCl and digestive enzymes. I can see how it would work great forDiarrhea, but it doesn’t make sense how it would work for constipation I really have tried wondering what I’m doing wrong. Yes it might be TMS but geez I’ve had it since I was a kid and I’m not young. If you have calm down your constipation or if that was your main issue I would love to know any suggestions you might have. I do eat a lot of vegetables. Thanks so much

@@PainFreeYou thanks Dan. My pain is So much better by applying consistent messages of safety. It’s not perfect. I hiked 9 miles a few weeks ago and my right hip, leg is tight again. I am stretching because it just feels good and loving on myself, reminding myself again that I am safe. But I also hiked 9 miles and the day before that I went White Water rafting, zip lining… and I am 54. Also, my insomnia waxes and wanes. Not where I wanna be but not where I use to be. Would love to see you do an updated version on TMS specifically on insomnia, but without sleep rules, routine, etc. as this just reinforces the brain that something is wrong. Thanks! Love you!

It was my entrance to mond body. It was helpful and i did get reduction in symptoms. It was Dan's clarity he brought on PDP. DNRS did not touch on repressed emotions and PDP. That is what got me to the finish line.

@@PainFreeYou I started 30 years ago as a way to pamper myself and as I changed therapists throughout the years it evolved into constant comments about areas of my body that needed help. With the pandemic and surgery I barely have had any and been over a year but I miss it. In listening to your videos about the purpose of doing it I decided it was time to make a switch and I plan on telling my new therapist that I prefer not to have any comments. I totally understand what you are saying 🙂

Dan you could not have described better. A swim suit and stuck on one side. It is so difficult. I really need help do you have someone you know from your group that would agree to help me. Be my mentor. I could zoom and drive me through. I am doing somatic therapies. Just stop massage but like you said it is so solid.. I would really appreciate. Maybe Nathan . Someone that understand this.😅I am more active than I was I can see the progress but as I am doing more the brain struggles more.
