So been given a new medical label, "serious osteoporosis". Refused meds. Instead of googling the omg my life gonna change be restricted sites, I did my research re side effects of meds, and how to renourish my body(food/exercise) and let it do what it needs to. My brain isn't scared now. I know what I need to do. My doctor was impressed with my knowledge lol of 🦴 formation etc & is happy to leave me for two years to get on with it. Minimum 30 min weight bearing walks are my starting point & plenty of salmon, protein, collagen, minerals & vitamin D & hormones. I can rebuild. Being pretty much housebound (pdp/tms)now changes. Have already gained 8lbs toward my ideal weight(tms food issues)onward I go. Todays a good day. Another bank holiday weekend here in UK.

Definitely fell into the trap of hating the body and asking why does my body hate me ect. Trying to learn self compassion and less victim mindset. It’s nice to have these videos though bevause I feel like In the tms community there’s so much confusion with do journalling do this do that you must look at past trauma and change personality traits and I feel like for someone with so many symptoms, thinking you have to do 1000 things when you struggle to do basic tasks just stresses the body out more! Also laughing at the muscle stuff as family have called me the hunchback of notre dam so many times as I’m so hunched over, physio did nothing for me - I straighten up when I feel calmer. Hi Dan, you always bring me peace. I have TMS, and now I found out that I may need surgery for something unrelated to my usual chronic pain. I have a cholesterol granuloma next to my inner ear that may need to be drained with surgery. The doctor's appointment is in two weeks to go through my results, and I am not sure what he will say. Still, as a good perfectionist, overachiever, and over-thinker, I already researched everywhere about what to expect in case I have surgery. I am freaking out with a lot of anxiety about what horrible things can happen to me during and after surgery. The anxiety is making me more anxious because I am afraid of making TMS worst due to more added fear. This video helped to calm me down already. Hope one day you make a video targeting people with TMS undergoing surgery.

hi dan, i love your videos! i was recently told by a chinese medicine practiioner that my insomnia is caused by "low blood volume". these kinds of things trip me up because I start thinking that it's low blood, and that I need to change my diet, etc. But I think, even if that were true, maybe my extreme fear is causing all kinds of hormonal imbalances such that it does affect my sleep and other things in my body. so i love your message of trust the body, and just dial down the fear.

A month after Covid I started getting a constant bitter taste in my mouth then some mild off and on feelings like I had burnt my mouth. It wasnt bad at all the first couple months. It was the bitter taste that was terrible and constant. I also get dry mouth. But recently my mouth has burning more and more and nearly constant. Still have the constant bitter taste too. I’m struggling to know if mine is TMS or just a post Covid issue? I have so much anxiety and it’s making everything much harder.

Dan, do you think pain in the gums from a dentist yanking out a temporary bridge can be TMS? I know I've had tremendous anxiety about it since he initially put in a bridge that didn't fit. And the pain does fluctuate with the anxiety I have.
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
The body heals. Now, if there is a bridge that doesn't fit, that may be involved. But does it really not fit? What's the evidence of it not fitting? Pain? Because that can still be the brain perceiving danger. If your bite is acceptable and not impeded by the bridge, dialing down the fear and attention on the symptom can help for sure. Does the dentist say it doesn't fit? Or is the pain the only evidence of an "improper fit"? There is zero downside to this approach. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWbbiIVsmqefmJo
