The Cadillac looks amazing compared to when it came in. Love your practical approach to detailing, knowing that you're not going to get 100% of the defects removed is sometimes really hard to accept, because you know that you could do more.... except that's not what the customer is paying for. Phil I started using the traditional microfiber applicators per your recommendation and you’re right there’s not really a difference especially once you get the pad primed. I did get the blue ones with the finger pockets though. They make it a bit easier for me since I don’t have to “hold” the applicator like the regular non-pocket ones.

Another great video sir……It would take hours, upon hours of correcting (most likely some wet sanding involved ) to have gotten that black Caddy to a 95-97% percent defect free appearance. That would equate to big $$$$ 💸 in time. It all revolves around what the customer wants to pay and THE HARD FACT TRUTH OF WHAT IT COSTS FOR 95-97% defect free paint….As stated, great job!!

Coating over a polish residue.. You stated that you were using the first polish because it wouldn't need a wipe down, then ended up having issues with the wipe down..??? Did you end up not liking the product do to the wipe off?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Hi. So the “residue” in the NSP polishes is not the same as oils or residue in other polishes. This is actually a true primer polish that has Sio2 built in and it acts to bond whatever coating applied over it better. I mention the smearing effect with these polishes all the time and how it goes away once we apply the coating. So even though it may seem a little disconcerting at first, it’s usually fine. But this paint was giving us a hard time since it was repainted and had some other issues. This was the 1% of jobs that we had to switch it up to a regular polish. Other jobs that we have done using the NSP polishes we didn’t run into such issues. But it’s ok. Sometimes we detailers have to problem solve on the fly and figure stuff out. 😎👍🏼 kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6alhGR7rb1-i7c

Why do you use a 25 degree nozzle as opposed to a 40?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
I like the angle it provides. It rinse better also. My pressure washer is about 1300psi so the 25 degree tip works perfectly.

35k! Congratulations. Nice turn around. I noticed you didn't offer to wash and wax the tanker truck. Lol. Question: does any of the surface preps mess with tinted glass? Safe? These are the cars I like to see. Daily drivers. Ummmm....that's what everyone has! That helps alot to see. Thank you. Also keeps me fighting the perfection enzymes that are floating around in my body. I thought Caddy looked darn nice. Hi wife!

Re: tinted glass. I assume you mean aftermarket tint that’s applied/installed on the inside of the glass. Stay away from ammonia, acidic and solvent based products. Stay with water based or isopropyl based glass cleaners. The vinyls material that tint film is made of is fairly soft so you want to use soft cloths to wipe your glass cleaners with.

Thanks! Yes what Chris said. No worries on using a prep on the exterior of the glass. 😎👍🏼

I don't think I would have coated it with that many defects left behind. Those will be sealed in for a long time.

Good Morning Phil. The Cadalac looks a whole lot better. I use all of those Turtle Wax 🐢 Products. Even though this an old video. Let’s hope and Pray that the owner is maintaining the fabulous look of the Paint Enhancement & Ceramic Coating. Even though that’s anan older model vehicle. Proper exterior maintenance will keep it looking Showroom New. @keepinupmydetailgame

I’m also looking at your previous videos with “Saving An Older Buick”. I just had a customer pull in my driveway wanting a Full Detail Service including a Wax Job on her car. But she thinks that the price of the job is too expensive. Actually I’m giving her a break. @keepingupmydetailgame

Hey Phil. The line between 😀 and 🤡 seems to be very thin with you. 😂😂😂 . Just kidding. I also sing along with the odd tune, especially 70s Canadian rock. Excellent demonstration on glass polishing, cleaning(very important) and coating.

Dear Phil again, great video. I love those enchantments...i am huge fan of AIO and enchantment treatments.... Just some technical thoughts please ..... Some times iron remover can have ,in conjunction with the clay bar treat, a "better" result. I am saying this because the iron remover chemicals can do something that only clay bar alone cannot. Can remove also the ..root...of the iron particle that has stuck on the paint, and not only the main body of the particle. Is like when we cut a tree...the root remains and the iron remover can remove the root also VS the clay bar alone witch can only cut the main portion. It breaks our world??? ....not really....i am not sure if makes a difference ( in the real world....)..just a quick notice because i have monitored , specially white paints ,that even after the clay bar treatment i can often see additional ...reaction if i use iron remover after. Just sharing it with you.... Keep up Phil sir....with this great content. ( We also love in Europe F6 as one step ,also sonax ex 05-05 if you like to try some day...( We pay less for those VS us market in average)
