Thank you soooo much Gee. You lay everything out so simply, I can completely understand.

Oh my gosh! That’s a lot of info to take in. I am going to make notes. Thank you very much for helping those of us who didn’t take art classes.

Its a lot to take in the first time, but it becomes very second nature before you even know it :)

Its a little tricky for some people to wrap their head around this concept at first but once it clicks it really helps you use your paints better😄 Im glad I could help you!

Thank you, Gee, for explaining the difference between results from varnish and resin. I have several pieces that I varnished and are still textured so thought I was doing it wrong.
@GeePours Жыл бұрын
My pleasure! Its a misconception unfortunately. Varnish can look beautiful and smooth, but only if what’s being varnished is smooth. Otherwise, gloss will really highlight these imperfections

I'm just starting to learn this stuff so your videos are really helpful. I'm currently messing around with creating paint with pigments. I've heard that that gives you transparent paint (I haven't actually used any yet). If I make paint with a pigment can I make it an opaque paint instead of transparent?
@GeePours2 жыл бұрын
The thing is, pigments that are shiny cant be opaque. Thats because the opaque component will cover the mica solids that make them shiny. That doesnt mean you cant use them of course, but you will probably want to include tube paints in your painting especially if you’re doing blooms or swipes. A cell activator always works best when its an opaque paint on an opaque paint

i aways thought you started with opaque paint up to transparent when doing a bloom as you want to see through the layers hence the transparent on the top. Can you explain how it works pls.
@GeePours2 жыл бұрын
So as I said in the video thats just my personal preference - your way works too, but if you think about it, because you increase opacity as you work your way up as well as reduce the amount of paint - you get beautiful gradient cells while the opaque is always best directly under a cell activator😊
@nicolawilkinson95502 жыл бұрын
@@GeePours ok thanks for that. Ill go with your way as you have the science behind it all :)

Nicola im so sorry i had a typo in my reply - I meant to say if you increase opacity as you work your way up

Sei veramente splendido e grazie di ❤, posso chiederti se puoi parlare poco poco, più piano🙏, riesco a leggere con il traduttore una riga si e una no😔.

It probably would be good to send this video through the stream more often so newbies don't necessarily order the wrong paint not knowing. Maybe call these posts Newbie Alert!

I try! I was quite surprised this video didnt do very well, even though 75% of the time people have problems, this causes it. I put it in the beginners playlist for that reason☺️
