Lot of preparation after removing wallpaper.. you need to remove paste by washing wall warm soapy water. Hi. Have you tried Zinsser peel stop ? Also did you chose this particular primer because its a water base and fairly mild compared to others on market. The reviews on it are terrible so i imagine its ideal for this particular task as its very thin?
@hansiesma164 жыл бұрын
PVA is a glue, not a primer, and its pretty thick. It was thin in this instance because the decorators watered it down to easier absorb into the bare plaster - they were using it like a stabiliser except its a glue not a stabiliser. These decorators like to use PVA but better practice would be to use a dedicated stabiliser followed by your two top coats. Some paints react to pva and then you have to start all over again. A google search confirms this.

Your paint is peeling easy all over the wall. Mine only peels easy in spots but I need to remove it all. It looks like your walls are cement. Always best to see if you can peel the surface off, sometimes the front will absorb water. So always best to test an area first. But patience and warm soapy water is best. Keep wetting and allow to soak it falls off eventually. We only ever use a steam stripper if it's not possible to wet and soak.. thanks
