Superb example of “Value does all the work, but colour gets all the credit” I took a photo of the screen after your painting was finished then I converted the photo to black and white and your painting was an excellent value representation.

My first portrait was of Marilyn Monroe, black & white from a black & white photo. It was crude in style, but, it looked just like Marilyn. It got me off to a good trip with oil paints.

Instead of a black and white study which would be fun, I would rather see a Sepia based study or maybe a sepia and ochre but that is just me. Also a night time scene that is rainy and wet would be fun.

Just say what you mean, you want a painting video of a night time rainy scene with a sepia tone so you can make it yourself.
@dalehallmark91745 ай бұрын
@@mabyonedayicanbehappy I said what I meant. However you are partially correct, I would use it as instruction to do a similar but different scene for myself. I have no interest in doing any image I see on youtube or anywhere else. Would rather do my own images.

Take a photo of your palette showing all of the paint colors. transfer photo to your computer or keep it on your device. Edit photo to gray scale ( black and white ) You will see each color's true value. A note on pronunciation. Dissect is not pronounced the same way that bisect and trisect are. The difference is that there are two s’s in diSSect making the prefix of dissect DIS and not DI. BI sect is to cut in two pieces. TRI sect is to cut in three. But the prefix DIS has the meaning “”to undo” as in DIS appear or DIS like or DIS agree. So, dissect means to unsection or to take apart.

I have never hit subscribe button as fast as when I heard you said "I'm not a fan of blending" because I REALLY love paintings that looks like shapes of colors and if you see the painting up close it would looks like jumbled color but if you take a step back you could see the whole picture. Also I have never heard of the tips you gave throughout the video and that helps a lot!! Although I paint as a hobby and not being too serious about that, now that I've found your channel I think I might improve my skills a little.
