Kevin this is just excellent. I've been painting for about ten years but there is always more to learn. You are an excellent teacher, as well as Artist. Thank you!

This piece is a beautiful testament to Kevin's range. One day he's painting a creek winding through the woods in autumn; the next day, he's adding the window lights in the skyscrapers of a major metropolitan area. Good stuff!

Nice technique for creating a dazzling nocturnal cityscape. Establishing the architectural foundations and landscape forms of towering skyscrapers . A vast array of colored city lights appear illuminous within the darkness, over an expansive urban city skyline, and within the reflections of the water. Nicely rendered piece, from landscapes, seascapes to cityscapes.

I've been struggling to make that hazy look around the lights but now I finally know that I needed to simply gently brush them. My worry though is that if I brush up with bright colour then down, it would be ruined because it'll mix with the dark colour in the background... but I guess practice is what I just need. Super inspiring! Thank you so much!

You keeping surprising us. It's a interesting change of the subject. You did it in night time. And, like someone point out, not an organic landscape as you use to. I just love it. Very illuminated! That's the word. The lights, the dark and sharp silhouette of the buildings, the bright horizon and the lovely reflects on the water. You are awesome sir. But you must not do nothing just to please us, but for your own wish. Keep the great work. Greetings from Brazil.

Kevin, do you have this as a full length step by step DVD? I would love to be able to give this a more detailed look as you have and also would love a sketch of the buildings. Please consider doing this as I would love to have this. I tried this on my own and had to trash it. I would say I'm a pretty good artist but no where close to you. I'm ready, willing, and able to purchase this on DVD. If any of you artists out there agree with me, drop Kevin a message. Thanks for your consideration!

Personally, I recommend Atelier Interactive acrylic paints. They are a very unique acrylic - and they are an Australian product, so easily available; in fact not their whole range is available to me in Canada. Also, try watching "Colour In Your Life" for inspiration - again an Australian TV show with their entire episodes available here on YT.
